Hi there does anyone know where I could find / get a replica of the walther P5 used in OCTOPUSSY and NSNA ... i remember there being solid resign replicas made which came in blue or black .. I think they were for training and self defense.

does anyone know if there was ever an airsoft bb version or air gun version of the WALTHER P5

Never seen it in the airsoft configuration. If there are replicas, they would be the resin ones you have seen.

Fat chance now, unless you are a registered skirmisher it is a criminal offence to buy or sell one. As swift prison sentence and fine will follow - not worth it. On a happy note, deactivated versions of the real thing are still legal and can be bought from Worthing Guns.

Cost more, but better than being banged up.

its odd isnt it how you cant own a solid model gun but its fine to own real guns and deactivated ones which can be made lethal with the right know how...

and air guns are fine here and there....

    unbeleivable... ..

even eBay have there heads upsidedown... they allow the sale of knifes harpoon guns lethal weapons... in the worng hands, I have bought knifes and spear guns from ebay

but they dont allow harmless bb guns ... toys a friend of mines was told to take a star wars blaster off ebay a solid resin one... complete nonsense

As everybody knows, I am an ASP9mm proofed goof in arms.
I just want to put an experience to the board, which a friend of mine had:

He was a registered hobby shooter, the gun law here in Germany is pretty tough.

As he's professionally working with metal, he did a friend a favour in producing a kind of barrell. However, the police heard about, what he was doing and he's got visited and arrested as the barrell could be adopted to a machine rifle.
Additionally he lost his permission to shoot for 5 years and getting his driving-license has been also delayed for years.

He paid a year's salary fine after a long and expensive trial and has been nearly sent to prison, he got a probation for 3 years.

This thing is still following him and he's absolutely careful with, what kind of replica guns, he's keeping etc. Additionally, he has a police record now, which made it pretty difficult in job-hunting.

So, what do I want to tell you?

I can see several posts on the board - not only on this topic - stating, that their national gun laws are ridiculous, and they may be so.
But please, please guys stay on the safe side of the gun law. Testing out the limits can be very harmful, regardless, what has been your intention or your feelings on the law.

P.S. Complaining here on the board - which means in public - about the law and discussing possible ways to get around this seems to be very insensitive to me. You never know, who may be reading it.

    much appreciated...

but its far from a big secret that here in Glasgow in Scotland its not too difficult to get anything ... real, model, fake, etc..

The reason I am asking about a prop dummy gun on here is because I dont mix in those circles.

Sorry but i feel the right to free speach is slowly being taken away from Us ..... if its not an opinion on a Gun or an opinion on a religon or race people are getting jailed for what next ...

someone getting jailed for fartting the wrong way ... You get my drift ..

I am very sorry to hear that about your friend... and I am not saying you are the laws whos stopping opinions and views being broadcast,... you are just a concerned fellow bond fan and I and I am sure everyone else on the boards appreciates it greatly..

the laws I was complaining about was eBays weapon rules a bit stupid if you ask me...

I have been contacted by the main man .. he knows who he is and I have been informed there is an airsoft WALTHER P5 ... The hunt is on.

No, that IS legal, but you are obviously not looking for a big blue training gun, but a replica. Whatever you think of the law, what you want is illegal now. Please take this very seriously, silly as the law may be, it is the law. Bondtoys made a quip about you never knowing about who may be reading this, and that is very true - remember I am a firearms instructor for the military (albeit part time now), and at least six members I know are current serving police officers. It's is not funny when you shoot someone who has a dummy gun because there is no time to find out if it's real. One member here has even been arrested at gunpoint in their own home for trading in such items innocently, and several members here can attest to that without mentioning exactly who.

It is scary stuff, and can get out of hand very quickly, Sorry to get so serious and, God forbid - preachy, but I promised that I would not let anyone unknowingly get themselves into trouble over an issue like this on these boards.

I am in the USA and thanks to our forefathers, our right to bear arms is harder for the lawmakers to get around.

I am compelled to second the previous remarks here. One thing I learned decades ago as a new police officer was to obey the law no matter how silly it might appear to you. There are no benefits to being on the wrong side of a jail cell! Once you enter the system you are entirely at the mercy of the opinions of others - and that's never a good thing.

From what I was told by a BB gun dealer the other week, I think that you'll find that is illegal too. :s

If you were able to import one of the Ring guns. They will cast one for you in black. I have one in blue for a mold gun. And of course, have a real one, although it is a compact. Here's a pic.

I may even sculpt one from scratch make a mould then produce as many as I want ... but i will do that another day not any time soon...

I was told that there is a light gun for computers for use with shooting games... not sure which concol its for , xbox, PS1, PS2, ETC

but i am told the gun is almost exact to a Walther P5 and was modeled after it

You're making me want to put the plastic grips back on my P5.

You can get the blue guns from Rings Manufacturing. Ask them to cast in in black resin for you.

    here is the link:

Herr Michael, those grips had gotten really worn. So I put them in the sandblaster with some really fine bead. They ended up looking like new and only took about 2 minutes.

Looks to be a nice job indeed.

Mine are still new. I removed them when I brought the gun home and stuck on the Nill's.

    I think I'll change them.

Takes some getting used to looking at black plastic again. Those Nill's have been on the gun since it was new seven years ago.

I like the feel of the plastic better. The Nill's have a palm swell that makes them slightly thicker than the plastic.

I checked out the Blue Guns website, and I was quite impressed with their lineup, they even have the PPK/S and the P99.

Scaramangas golden gun if you do a goggle search like I did you can find a few different places that have for sale, I am sure you can find a seller that will ship to you.

But still illegal to import into the UK though. I checked with someone into the legality of importing one of Rings Blueguns, and is still an offence to import them unless they are painted a luminous colour due to the accuracy of the mold. Asking them to imort a black one into the UK will result in a swift arrest. ASP Redguns are still available to purchase in the UK though. I still wouldn't risk importing them, but there are quite a few UK suppliers with good stocks.

I'd appreciate some advice on this as well..would it be possible to import a blue one? I assume it would as it would obviously be fake

Unfortunately according to the new VCR Act, the colouring has to be luminous and the blue that they use doesn't quite cover it due to the accuracy of Rings replicas. The ASP Redguns are OK though, but I would'nt risk importing them. It's a gry area, but in light of the clampdown and the efficiency of HM Customs and Excise in spotting gun shapes in the parcel viewer, it certainly isn't worth the risk.
