James Bond PROPS MAGAZINE

I am trying to get an Idea if it would be a good Idea to start a james bond props magazine something which would be published every month or few months... an unofficial magazine of course...

I am trying to get an idea who would be interested in possibly co producing it with me .. anyone who would like to write articles ...

that sort of thing

the magazine would be most about props .. but also feature collectables poster etc...

however it would not be anything like some of the magazines which constantly stick to the ribbish I call corgi

email me if or reply on this post ....

my email is slicksickmick@msn.com

Well, instead of doing a paper magazine. Why don't you do an on line magazine here. I know that won't generate any revenue for you if that's what your after, but there are just so many Bond magazines out there. They come and they just as soon go. Believe me, I've seen it. Every time a new fanclub is created, a magazine comes with it. Then it takes longer and longer to get the new issue before it finaly goes defunct. Don't mean to be a buzz kill, but I've been in this game for a long time.

why should there be a printed magazine for the few or us, who are 007 replica NERDS. I think, the internet is much more efficient in this matter and the forum on AJB is brilliant for this.

I wouldn't take the adventure of publishing a magazine for such a special interest topic.

This forum is exactly that. We need nothing else rastanana.gif

Plus I think the majority of the prop collectors here don't like to make their collections public.

A kind of database would be good, on your webpage, or better here on AJB.

But keep in mind, that many stock pics are copyrighted and even, if someone posts you his/her pics, how can you be sure, that these are really from this person.
I recall the Stephanie Broadchest case with bogus pics or recently that swedish jerk.

As said by Asp9mm, many collectors don't want to go public and still those who are willing to go public may be different well photographers. It may be, that their cameras may be bad, or, that they are not really that advaced photographers, or even both like in the case of Asp9mm with his boxbrownie. :D

So, I'd be very concerned, that such a database would look more like a mess.

good point I supose you are right to many legal stuff time and work...

I will simply stick to my original plan....

I am going to update my website giving more info on all the props including my own personal scetches and drawings etc. as well as all of my new props... I am also going to show comparisons between the film screen props and replicas much more info than any website yet...

also... I was thinking of possibly an interview with the Man himself Ed... I would love to do a section or an interview on his experiences and time with making props .. etc ...

I am already working on an interview with the main man over at JB-PROPWORLD in argentena
