I think it's an S40 T5. A nice little (Ford group) runabout for Bond while he's in Austria.

My guess would go to the R60
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Sorry for the rough translation. I copy and pasted the whole article into a translater so you might have to figure out what goes where. But here is what the translater came up with: (Sorry, no pics are included)

Bond trick: Daniel Craig drove by Feldkirch Feldkirch was in the night
on Wednesday turning place for the new James bond film. Leading actor
Daniel Craig supplied itself an autopursuit with its opponents. Here
you see to videos of Craig behind the steering wheel and in the market
lane. Video: Craig leaves the auto bond actor Daniel Craig sat behind
the steering wheel of a Volvos, its opponents drove a Jaguar. Bond
followed the Jaguar. It is whispered that the scene is to represent,
how bond on the way to the Bregenzer makes itself sea-stage.

Video: Drive of Daniel Craig video: Bond races by the market lane

Pictures of Daniel Craig video: Daniel Craig goes through the
    market lane

Video: Daniel Craig rises from the auto limitations for
neighbors for the pursuit several roads and lanes was locked off.
Neighbors could leave or enter only during that turning tracing their
dwellings. In addition they needed a special document of
    identification.

The neighbors should for sake the film producers sake burn let the
light. During the turning work they were requested to remain away from
the windows. Trick against 21.15 o'clock

O'clock began and ended further pictures of the trick starting
from 21.15 o'clock turning beginning in the Tuesday evening the trick
for the new bond film "quantity OF Solace" on Wednesday against 0.30
    o'clock on Tuesday against 20.30. Trick against 20.30 o'clock

Further pictures of the trick (from 18.00 to 20,30 o'clock)

Video: "today in Oesterreich" contribution of Lisbeth bishop
Rund ten seconds film in the film will last the scene approximately
ten seconds. Feldkirch will be however not Feldkirch, but is to
represent Bregenz. In the Vorarlberger state capital the bond turning
work is continued starting from Wednesday. Bond visited in Bregenz the
opera "Tosca" and meets on the Bregenzer sea-stage and in the
Bregenzer festspielhaus its opponent. Scene: Market lane in Feldkirch

Video: ORF Vorarlberg Redakteurin Raphaela Stefandl in
Feldkirch Leonhard Gmuer "film is bone work" bond production manager
Leonhard Gmuer meant after the turning work opposite the ORF
Vorarlberg that the trick without problems ran. Film is bone work,
therefore need Craig and the entire team a private atmosphere, which
    permits it to operate.

The Feldkircher is a mad population, whom would have shown much
    understanding, like that Gmuer.

The roads were locked off starting from 18.00 o'clock. 4,000 litres
water squirted on road the bulbs in the strassenlaternen were
exchanged, because luminous intensity and temperature are to
harmonieren with the film light. Altogether approximately 250
production coworkers were with the work.

The Feldkircher fire-brigade splashed the paving-stones against 20.00
o'clock in the market route wet. Afterwards again approximately 2,000
litres water followed. Stones look more beautiful in the film, if the
    light is reflected therein.

Bond drives Volvo, the rogue a Jaguar

In the Tuesday afternoon spectacular turning places for
scarcely one year the English-American production company turns
pictures from Feldkirch in five countries, partly under most extreme
conditions as for example on 2,600 meters height with an observatory
in Chile. In the film here the center of power of the bad one,
    "quantity", is called settled.

In the last days at the Gardasee wild Verfolgunsgjagden was turned
off. Stuntmen were hurt and a Aston Martin landed with total loss in
the Gardasee. One wants to avoid such consequences with the turning
    work on the Bodensee.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

By very happy coincidence, I have just bought a Volvo S40 T5. Its a great car, quite quick.
Of course my wife is now convinced I choose it because its in a Bond movie and thinks I am pathetic.

    She may be half right!

Unlikely, unless he usually holds a torch under his chin while he's driving around! :)

    Latest Info:

    Dear Mr. Poulos:

We have just received additional information on the vehicle. It is a grey S40 T5 and it's not a major part - more a production favor - the car is filmed as a hire car that he drives briefly.

We will need more time to answer any other inquires because the staff member who ordered the vehicle isn't available until May 23rd.

We appreciate your patience in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Jordan Paskoff
