Huh??? The Baker pants is what I am talking about and the color they used in the movie is called MINK.
personal preference? As if I had thoughts of my own...really!
Thanks Mantis for the heads up on the gaps shawl cardigan and for your clarification on the pants..
From your list the only thing that I haven't bought yet is the CR jacket... I am still thinking on whether to get the replica from Magnoli though...
Oh my god...I did say Robert Sherman instead of Ted Baker...senile at 40....damn. My apologies David...
Mantis,
Have you ID the pants that Bond is wearing with the navy cardigan and grey t-shirt in Montenegro,
while standing on a balcony seeing the bodies taken by the authorities?
If so, where can you get a pair of those... i believe that he wears them inside Ms apartment as well..
I know I am late to the game on this topic, but I travel for a living; so I thought I would give my list of what I take with me thinking like Bond while I pack.
Clothing:
Navy, black, and brown short sleeve polo shirts.
One long sleeve blue polo
One black, white, and grey t-shirt.
One White dress shirt, one blue dress shirt
Two pair khaki trousers (one regular khaki colour, one field khaki)
One pair blue jeans
One pair black slacks
One suit either navy or black. Hot Climates tan poplin or natural linen.
One pair black, brown shoes.
One pair sneakers/trainers.
Undergarments and socks. Quantity and kind depends on the climate.
This is in two bags. It may seem like a lot, but I can be gone for up to three months at a time.
My shaving kit: I pack my knife a Kershaw assisted opener. I feel naked with out it.
A Gillette Fusion power. It is important to choose the power model, because it has a water resistant battery compartment in the bottom that can be used to conceal micro film, secret documents, illicit diamonds, etc.
Shaving gel in a squeeze bottle instead of a can. Air pressures seem to pop the pressure valve on the bottom of the can and I get a full bag of shaving foam. Not fun.
A Oral B power toothbrush, again has a battery compartment in the handle.
A Surefire flashlight(torch) Spare batteries.
A strong long handled hair brush, will work as a cosh in a pinch.
I'm actually travelling to London for a Bond Sites tour, so here's my list:
1. Grey straw hat ala Connery in Goldfinger
2. Slazenger burgundy golf sweater over grey polo
3. Gold bar to pose with, and a Penfold harts ball.
4. Grey suit w/ white shirt ala Lazenby in the Big Ben 8x10 pose, complete w/ plastic PPK
5. ECCO shoes- really comfy for travel, and Bondlike
6. Assortment of Slazenger polo shirts, and slacks
7. Thong undies- Gotta feel sexy in case we meet some hot Pakki girls!
8. James Bond's London book...and 8x10 reference dvd pulls of OHMSS and Goldfinger
8. Nave peacoat and black fedora to look like Lazenby walking up to the College of Arms
9. Little travel gnome my cute niece gave me!
10. Rick Steves' guidebooks and day pack
11. Aston Martin umbrella
12. Condoms just in case...
13. Lube just in case she's older...
14. Workout gear. Hey, I'm from California, that's all we do..
15. RAF bomber jacket. Goes well at the IWM!
16. Cigarette holder and cig to look like Fleming- good for a photo op at the IWM
17. LOTSA money, because the $ buys very little.
18. Ditto to the rest of you chaps on the watches.
19. and, when entering ANY hotel, one must utter the most famous of lines from that infamous French detective: "Do you have a reeum?"
Exactly what do you mean by "Pakki girls!"? Are you referring to the term "Pakis"? If so, are you aware that it is an offensive term referring to Pakistanis and sometimes used in Britain as an epithet against all South Asians?
Dryden: How did he die?
James Bond: Your contact? Not well.
Dryden: Made you feel it, did he? Well, you needn't worry. The second is...
James Bond: Yes... considerably.
Comments
Sherman.. Baker... easily mistaken, Dave.
And, of course, your own thoughts (and a those of a few others) why most of us are here!

Do you happen to know the Model/Style name of those Ted Bakers?
