I got my Gap XS jacket in, and the chest and shoulders are just a bit too tight, although the jacket hits just where it should right above the hips. The sleeves, however, are just a bit too long. I really need a Small short size, but I don't think that is available. Hmmmmm, maybe gain a little in the chest and shoulders to fit the Banana jacket better and move the buttons to get the sleeves the right length? Both are great jackets at wonderful deals--I am just difficult to fit and quite picky

You may just want to go to your local tailor to make the final adjustments.

Yeah, I thought about that. My tailor in DC, Christopher Kim, is outstanding. I'd get the Banana jacket done before the Gap one, since (and I agree with the Mantis) it is much better made.
