PC Bond Memorabilia

i don't want to sound like a daily mail reader (members in the uk will know what i mean!) but have you noticed how politically correct the new bond memorabilia is.

all the new james bond memorabilia due to be released with the quantum of solice that is aimed at children has the 007 logo on it but the two parts that make the gun part of the logo (the barrel and the trigger) are missing.

surely this is taking the anti-glamour of guns message too far?

Hate to say it, but the removal of the gun on things like Corgi cars was done several years ago--about halfway through the Brosnan tenure, I think--and, yeah, it was done to keep those bad ol' guns from looking glamorous. I don't like it, either--it's a bit like chopping the ears off the bat in the Batman logo!
