I was in Sainsbury's earlier today when I noticed they have a black, large herringbone tie that looks quite similar to the one in the screenshot. Some of you fellow UKers might want to check it out. I'll definitely be going back for a second look.

I know alot of people in this thread have mentioned budget alternatives... although in the case of this tie I would say that I doubt they have the same thickness as the one from T&A. It's by far the thickest and stiffest tie I have in my collection, and really produces a very firm knot (you can see this in the movie as well... it juts right out of Pierce's collar).
BTW, for those getting this tie and looking for a matching blue shirt (that looks like the screen version), I really recommend the china blue dress shirt from Charles Tyrwhitt. Their Aldwych Monk dress shoes are also a dead ringer for the Church Presley's.
As Asp9mm says, CT is a great source for Bondian clothing that is a good Jermyn St alternative to Turnbull & Asser.
Will do. I have some good close shots of it currently, but not close enough to show the weave. I'll get to that...
BTW, make sure to tell Indy that the tie needs to be thick, densely woven and really, REALLY firm. Stiffer than any of his previous ties. I can practically hear the fabric crunch when I bend the tie. Aside from that, with pics of the weave and correct tie dimensions there isn't much room to mess it up.
Be nice if we could get some sort of "package deal" going when all is said and done (eg: buy a Bilbao tie and get a discount on a set of Bilbao cufflinks, or vice-versa).
I just called the Turnbull and Asser store in NY. I was told that the larger herringbone pattern was no longer available. should I take there word for it, or do you want to try the London store?

Anyone know how much they were selling for? I notice T&A are selling many of their ties at the moment for £75.

Please do. I emailed Indy and he said it was high on his next tie list.
