Anyway, I would just like to wish all our American friends a very happy 4th of July. The history of our two nations is a story of two former enemies coming together to become the best of friends. That's something to celebrate in itself.

And just to clarify, there is no political undertone to this post at all, so I'd appreciate it if we leave politics to one side.
