Does Levi's use a code of some sort to tell the colors apart? I was just at 4 different stores and none of the pants had the color name on any of the tags.
Levi's 514 just do not seem to exist in white... except for a corduroy version. As anyone found these ? Any word from Levi's ? Will they be part of a fall line ?

In other words: help!
I agree with you but I believe it was stated earlier that it will be part of the upcoming Fall line. However, I find it odd that it would be part of the a yet to be announced and verified Fall line as most Bond clothing are current lines and not 'future' lines 3-5 months down the road. I am still under the belief that it is 501 Premier line in white.
I concur with ufboy73's post: I don't think Craig is wearing Levi's in that shirtless pic. Look at the belt loops in the front - they're considerably longer than Levi's and there is no visible hardware on them. They appear to be a hook and loop closure as I don't see the button in front.
Not saying that they weren't supplied - the white pair could very well be Levi's but I think he's wearing (in this particular scene) more of a designer label jean.

it certainly appears that way to me - my only cause for hesitation would be that particular photo was enhanced, which i would assume could lead to some fairly distorted coloring, etc....that said, besides the stitching color there seems to be differences in the hardware and proportion of the loops (as you also point out)...i hope this doesnt turn out to be one of those makes that we are never able to confirm:(
Just to clarify, I equalized the light levels and used a brightness enhancement on just the jeans.
But if this is a source for concern I will post the un-enhanced picture later today.

I would just like to point out, my monitor is colour calibrated and adjusts for current room brightness. Unless you have a similar colour workflow then colours that you see may appear different.

avekev,
many thanks - you didn't have to do that!
BUT....in seeing the less enhanced pic, i still feel those arent levis:)
Today I went to the local levis store and they just started to get the fall season catalog collection. Unfortunately, neither the white 514 nor the tidal blue 501 has arrived yet. Afterwards I went to the Macys to look for the tidal wave 501, but is kind of complicated to find unless we have the specific color number because they don't label by color name.
Someone mentioned that the tidal blue is color 0422. What I found is that there is 501 jeans that has the following code above the bar code that says 005010422 but here is the catch, there were two models one made in Mexico and the other from other country, in the color one said 37466 and the other one 2364. Both to my eyes look the same except that they were made in different countries. These jeans cost $36.95... I was about to get a pair, but I wanted to confirm whether this are the right jeans..
Ok guys, I have been scouring the the net for online outlets for the blue 501's and noticed that they all appear to come with copper rivets supporting the pockets. Also they have a bright nickel finish main button.
This does not match up with the screen shot from the trailer.
I have made a comparison picture that might be of some use. Sorry for the crudeness but I threw it together first thing this morning before the boss got it! http://jamesbondlifestyle.com/collections/modules/gallery/data/images/000424.jpg
Picking these brands doesn't get any easier does it!
Picked up my Tidal's today at Kohls...were on sale for $33.00 with plent of sizes. They look and fit pretty darn good! A friend of mine had a potential arguement for the button arguement we are having. Like Oakley, Ray Ban, and other such labels, if a company has not PAID to prominantly have their brand marketed in a movie they will often disguise the brand. Now one could argue, why didn't they cut off that red tag that makes Levis so famous? The answer might be they didn't expect a web site filled with guys studing every pixel to identify said label but a LEVIS button coming straight at you? Well, its a theory anyway.

PICS, guys. I still don't believe these are the same jeans - the denim looks much nicer than 35 dollar, 501 jean denim. So Mantis, or anyone else, if you can take pictures of the jeans you just bought, that would be cool.
I'd like pics too please, I just got back from Kohls and they had my size. The pants matches the color from the movie pics and the tags Mantis posted, but these had front pockets with I guess you can call em creases running horizontaly. Thanks in advance.

Are the 514's slim in powder color jeans the right ones?
Do not get this: COLOR: Powder - $69.50 : Super bleached-out indigo highlighted here and there with subtle tones of indigo base color.Denim,

But I may stand to be corrected.
i think the 514 only comes in one cut - slim/straight.
my local levi's store also did not have the 514's in white.
