That may be true but wanted to provide the team with at least a nice white option.
Just picked up the 501 Tidal Blue's at Kohl's. They're quite nice... I haven't bought Levi's in a long time but it seems the quality has gotten better.
Let's not get carried away about the jeans Craig is wearing in the pics. While nice (and he does wear them well), they by no means look like really expensive premium denim. The 501 Levi's looks correct to me.

I disagree completely. The wash does not look like typical 501 style. It looks more like a pair of Rogans.

regardless of whether it is a more premium denim than levis or not, it just does not look like levis to me - not just the quality and/or wash but the hardwear, seaming, proportions of beltloops, etc.
i just picked up the 501 at kohls as well, solid purchase. there is also a levi's outlet store not too far from my house and i'm planning on stopping in there later this week. they should have a far better selection of styles and colors.
i'll look for the 514s as well. anybody think it could be anything else within the levis brand? i'm sure they'll have it in stock.
Those jeans where he has his shirt off are not Levis, they're Dior Homme.
I was going to say that they looked exactly like some jeans worn by Dominic Cooper in a recent American GQ spread (which were indeed Dior), but they weren't the exact same, so I decided not to say anything. But if I were told that they WERE Dior, I wouldn't be surprised!
so u guys know the levi's factory store (which essentially has everything levi's produces) had one style of men's white jeans and it was the 501 with the button fly. it had plenty of rivets and just didnt look right, it was pure white though.
+1. the finish looks similar to the pictured QOS jeans (but this could just be similarity in any type of raw denim) but the stitiching and hardware is completely differnt to a picture i saw of the dior's online (unless they have vastly different models across the dior homme line). could be an older model that was used, i guess.

I was thinking the same thing .... so does the search continue or can someone get a definative answer from Levi's and/or Dior?
I picked up the Tidal Blue 501s at Kohls and wow do they look painted on to my legs. I have some 514s in the same size and those looks like hip hop jeans in terms of fit compared to the 501s. Not really a complaint though, I like em.
I'm having doubts now too. I think they're high end jeans but if it's Dior then it might be custom/old/unreleased as yet.

Levis have confirmed to me that Daniel Craig wears blue 501s in QoS. But in what scene I couldn't tell you. I wil have more info in the coming weeks, but right now that's all I've got.

Quite right, my apologies ;% . Long day and too hasty posting by me. So many phone calls and emails, I lose track of what's already been posted and what other people have woprked so hard to find out already sometimes. Not trying to one-up anyone here.

On a fit note, i was talking to an employee at levi's (who seemed to know what they were talking about) and they stated the 501's now have more a 'vintage' cut from the 50's. this would be somewhat slimmer and tapered than 501's in recent years past. after trying on a pair, i have to say that they are definitely cut trimmer than previously. All this to say, what look like slimmer jeans in the pictures we have seen could actually be 501's because they fit much differently than we possibly rememeber - though i know indications are they supplied both 501 and 514 just thought i would throw it out there for those interested in 501's.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but...Levi's has taken the tidal 501's off of their website and Kohl's no longer has them on their's either. I picked up a pair luckily but I wonder if they will come back up. Still not sure if they are still in stores for those that were looking for them.

I would hazard a guess that Tom Ford, having designed all the suits, may have taken a go and designed a pair of denims. Or, those indigo denims from the trailer look a like a tight-fitting pair I've seen in GQ once or seventeen. No rivets = no Levi's methinks.

Guys I was in a store the other day and purchased the cream/white 514's, next to these were dark blue 514. What struck me was the colour of the stitching in the blue 514, which was a silver colour. Given that the 501 has orange stitching and are not a slim fit I'm thinking that if they supplied 514 in one colour why not the same 514 in blue?

Definately looks like 501's to me. I have a pair and they seems to have the same look, feel and cut. What do you all think?
