If it's any peace of mind for people, the reason Duncan was allowed the dialogues he had with Frogley is because he is giving an exclusive to www.jamesbondlifestyle.com and he is penning an article with many more details.

Thanks for the reassurance, Dave. I am sure the article will shed light on a cloudy issue.

Like why there has been the need for such secrecy as the ultimate intention seems simply to sell extra product... i.e. just tell us what it is so we can chose to buy it or not!!!

Why products seem to enter the EON system as provided by one manufacturer and come out as made by another, well, Ford...

And why it would appear the only name anyone seems to be able to remember is, er, Ford...

I hope the sensitivities of the relationship with EON/Frogley will allow these questions to be asked and answered.

:)) I hear ya....and once Duncan finishes his piece I honestly think its just going to get a wee bit more frustrating as the NON-Ford pieces are not for the wallet-minded folks as well.

David S., shoot me an email please.

Hey guys! Been following the discussions on these boards for quite awhile now, but didn't want join until I found something significant (at least significant in my mind) to contribute. Anyway, I was watching the trailer today, and this shot caught my eye: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/2756/jb1xe0.jpg. It looks the closest I've seen in any shot to the 501s, both in color and what appear to be rivets. Thoughts?

Nice pic Mr Fandango B-) looks like the rivets have been painted and the big label has been removed

Duncan, are you suggesting that EON would deliberately disguise an item of apparel so that its original make did not show through..?

Perhaps someone who's more knowledgeable on denim than me can answer, but - I know Levi's 501 have been around forever, but is the Tidal Blue color a new seasonal style?

Well, the jeans have been and are being investigated by somone else. I did indeed ask, but in short the answer I got was 'can't remember where they came from' with regards the blue jeans. Leaves a lot of work to do. The Tom Ford thing is simply because a lot of of it actually IS Tom Ford.

Things that are NOT Tom Ford include - DCs shoes, jeans, 2 other casual jackets and probably more we haven't seen yet. As well as the villains and girls clothes.

    Duncan

    Any updates?

Yes I'm very happy to say. The article is finished and will be delivered today. I wanted to have it delivered a couple of days ago but some personal stuff came up to deal with.

Keep your eye on Bond lifestyle over the next few days, but I'll post a link here when it's up B-)

    All the best

jblifestyle seems to have recanted on the claim that the dark blue jeans are levi's 501. Has new information come to light?

Yes it would appear they are. This was Simons baby as he'd put the hard work into this one, just waiting for final confirmation. Thanks for that B-)

The 7 for all mankind jeans stitching matches exactly to the screen worn ones. Have you a pair with you slice?

I only have 3 pairs and they are on Ebay at the moment. You will have to be quick as they end this evening but I can withdraw if you let me know early enough. One pair worn by Ben.

Thanks for the update. What's the story with the Levi's 501 tho... is this what Levi's were asked to provide to the costume team and (like the OP sunglasses) were mistakenly believed to have been used in production?

How does this 7 compare to Levi's jeans. Looking for an objective comparison. Thanks

The 7 jeans definitely seem to have the same styling of the 501's in terms of the basic cut (5 pockets, straight waist, etc). The rivets and button on the 7's are dark though, and obviously the back pocket has different designs. Also, the Levi's are 100% cotton while the 7's are 98% cotton 2% spandex, and in general the denim for the 7's seem lighter than Levi's 12.5oz denim for the 501's.

The rinsed dye on the 501 also is a little inconsistent, giving it a slightly 'dirty' sandy look. I think this is one reason many mistook the jeans in the desert picture (where Craig is holding the gun) as 501's.

    Mantis,
Are the jeans linked in your reply the correct ones? The main button doesn't look blue.
