Did anyone else notice that Bond's wardrobe in this go round is heavily inspired by the early 60's Steve McQueen? Check out the photographer William Claxton's photo book "Steve McQueen" and you'll find Steve McQueen wearing the exact same white jeans, navy blue shawl collar sweater, brown suede chukka boots, Persol sunglasses (last movie, I know), similar haircut etc.
Craig has mentioned in interviews that McQueen was a movie star that inspired him. They both fall squarely into the same strong, silent, blue steel eyed, buff mode. I think Daniel is surely channeling the 1962 Steve McQueen for Bond.

Yes, I noticed that too. Perhaps DC can play Bullitt in a re-make. That's what I was thinking while watching QOS.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.

Just managed to pick up a brand new pair of beige Levi's off ebay for £3.00! They are listed as 551's (but I'm not sure they are)and are said to be canvas - so I don't think they are the same as Daniel wears but do look simmilar enough IMO to the sta pressed and with a little bit of shortening and a pair of brown dessies the white shirt and the shawl collared cardigan I hope to get next week -the outfit wil be complete!
I know this subject has been done to death but can any UK members point me in the direction of a decent online levis shop ? Really struggling to find any white or beige jeans. not necessarily Levis but a good replica to those in QoS ?? Cheers !!!!
I think they run a little big...so if you are a 35 or 36 you would be fine...those that are smaller could take them in...but they are ararer than hens teeth
I finally bought some 7 jeans (the pair from QoS) and can't get over how comfortable they are. They really are high quality denim - no wonder Bond wears them!
I never thought I would spend $174.00 on jeans but they are worth every penny!
Thanks to Mantis, Simon, and all of the others for always keeping us informed about this stuff!
Items such as these and the Sunspel immediately became wardrobe staples!
I just received my pair of 7s today, but I must admit I much prefer my Levis. If anyone's interested in buying them from me I'd be prepared to sell them. I'm based in the UK.
They are a 31" waist, they are also a stretchy denim so they would fit a 32" as well. They have the Blue button as well. These jeans are brand new.

Wow, you feel that strongly about it?
For sure. No point in keeping something I don't feel comfortable in. Might as well let someone else have some pleasure out of them.
I just tried on the cream Sta-Prest 306 jeans for the first time and they fit great. They have a tapered leg and are really flattering in the seat/crotch. Leagues away from the standard heavy cotton straight fit Levis.
