Wondering if anyone could help me ID the boots In the below pic. I have searched around and they are similar to the Timberland Ripper style.
It looks like bond is wearing a Chukka style boot.Any info would be appreciated.

I was just yesterday wondering the same thing. I found a slightly larger picture of Daniel Craig running: http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff92/NeverSeenTheLightOfDay/JamesBond/06.jpg

Don't know if that helps anyone. I cannot identify the footwear, sorry to say.

Thanks for the larger pic Django. They could even be a new John Lobb style. Guess we will have to wait till the film is released.

I don't see how these could even be comfortable doing all the active stunts you see in the movie. Were I a secret agent being filmed, I would still choose comfort and functionality over fashion any day.

You can't get a more comfortable action shoe than the Chukka. They are great boots for just this kind of action.

You wouldn't think a Chukka boot could offer enough support and be comfortable enough for action scenes. Still trying to ID the jeans,Could be any brand.

This style of boot was actually very popular with the 8th army (Desert Rats) during WW2 and still pretty popular in the less smart/stuffy messes today.
IMO It would be in character as an ex forces chap for JB to have a pair.

I have a pair of clarks myself which are extremely comfy and due the ltex sole

The shoes are similar to the Clark Desert Boot, and here is a pair in just about the same color: http://www.shoedeals4u.com/detail.asp?ShoeId=78354
You'll also see them in navy, brown, sand, grey...

However, the soles on Craig's shoes appear different, to my eyes.

If it turns out that Craig is wearing a ridiculously expensive pair of desert (chukka) boot, then Clark may be the way to go to get an extremely similar (and comfortable) pair at a good price. I've found them online from $75 to $90.

Thanks for the link django. I will have to shop around for a decent pair. Guess they would go well with most pants/jeans.

I think the boot he wearing is from the Ted Baker range called Ashcrof

not a bad looking boot, however, the QOS toe looks much more rounded than the highly chiseled Ashcrof (at least in the movie stills seen so far). plus, i would think it much more likely that the sole would be some sort of rubber rather than leather for the action scenes

As I posted in another thread they look a lot like US Army WWII rough outs (that were worn with leggings).

I have been wearing Samual Windsor shoes for a while now and I can't praise them high enough. I know that they are not John Lobb's but they aren't John Lobb's money!
They currently have a sale on where you can pick up 2 pairs for 70 uk pounds. I have posted a link to the boot section where they have several styles of leather and suede chucker boots.
