Sunspel 007 polo, quality etc

I am thinking of purchasing a Sunspel 007 polo. Are the polos comfortable and are they also good quality.I have read reviews that they are nearly see-through and they don't wash very well.Is this true, any info would be appreciated.

They are excellent quality, not at all see through, and wash very well.

Mine isn't see-through, but the material is a looser knit than I'm used to so it seems a bit "meshy". Not a bad thing though. I'd wash it on a gently cycle and lay it flat to dry, something of that quality and price doesn't need to be baking in a dryer.

They do seem a bit see-through in some of the pics I have seen of people wearing them. On the other hand, that was under flash photography. As is the case with celebs, I guess a little unintended nipple never hurt anybody. :p

Just had an email from Sunspel - they currently have 30% off all products, but some are limited. Worth a look though :)

Purchased the polo from sunspel last night. Got a great discount on it. Looking forward to seeing it.

I agree with Apocrypha23 about it being meshy. However for me 'meshy' is not a sign of good quality as there are 100's of blue meshy cotton single pocket polos available online for 1/10 the cost. I would have expected Sea Island cotton to have a better feel. I find that brushed cotton or mercerized cotton polo shirts feel signifigantly more comfortable against your body, feels cooler and absorbs better but more importantly wears better. I would not purchase this shirt again in hindsight. I found a exact copy of CR Sunspel polo made by Ralph Lauren (sans pony on pocket) that has an exceptional look and feel.
