Archaeologists act? :o well...we act silly, we act drunk (after a hot day in the field) and we act like Indiana Jones for fun...

    lol but thank you.

    :)) :)) :)) :))

    A good point. Well put.

We're all Bond girls in here! Well, us girls. Loeffs and NP and Bondtoys and Blue, to cite those who are here most frequently, of course are our gentlemen. LOL wouldn't want to be misunderstood here!! That's the essence of the place! :D For us to be able to talk girly about Bond and Bond style. And of course we each have our Bond (or Bond in the making :)) ) picked. Sir Sean is Pen's. The fact she would need to wear heels is merely a well thought-out strategy :v :)) Of course everyone in here is ok the way they are, which is why we talk fashion and style like girly girls and we have Bondtoys reminding us about the double-entendres? And Pen to set our history straight! :D :))

Speaking of Bond girls: heads up to Bondtoys and Loeffs! Gemma Arterton has been cast as the lead in "Hansel & Gretel". (I just thought about a dozen inappropriate remarks that will come from you two on this one, Bondtoys especially :)) ) Anyhow, great chance for you guys to admire her. And, good for her! By the way, it seems like she beat Eva Green for the role. Can't say that doesn't make me happy, seen as I don't like Miss Eva :))

Here is the link if you want to read (sorry NO HOT PANTS PHOTOS of Gemma here :)) )

    :o What?????

    Hänsel and Gretel???? Why???
The financial situation of the Hollywood Studios must be desperate - I mean REALLY desperate, if they pull out Hänsel and Gretel for a movie!!!

Here my advise: Bond 23 will put a lot more cash into your pockets than Hänsel and Gretel!

I guess, the probability of hotpants in the movie is almost the same like for the publicity shots. ZERO!!

On the other hand, I am not sure, if I haven't had visions of Gretel in hotpants, when I was 3 :))
    Didn't we all??

Boy, did I get my facts mixed up here.

    Archaeologist?

    I was WAY off track.

What an interesting choice, though! Kudos.

I dabbled in Archaeology during my first year back at the university but gave up after a few months, the cuneiform alphabet was just too intimidating.

Yes, I am a sad and sick man :D

    :)) :)) :)) You're actually quite entertaining and very funny :)) :))

I, too, am a bit perplexed about this. But it will be about them being witch hunters so I think it's got little to nothing to do with the actual story. It's about them as adults. It's basically another way of having a vampire/witches movie. Which means she will be in adult outfits. You can hope for slim-fitting jeans and low-cut tops at the very least :)) :))

:)) :)) NP, you always crack me up :))

Pen, I may have a new Henry as Bond moment to submit soon. Since you do see him as Bond (ah, good taste :)) ) I'm pretty sure you'll be interested in this one :v Need to put it together first (I need to cut stuff where he isn't involved, there are a few things in the video). Then we can discuss the Bond style there. Speaking of, Gerard Butler did a new ad for L'Oréal and he is playing himself being in a Bond movie. I'm not kidding, they even have the music. I wouldn't want him as Bond now but man... he is very easy on the eyes and very Bondian in that ad when he's in the tux!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Nq4_mVfR2M

Pretty sure Lady Rose will appreciate the Bond in question here. And, the girl is very much Bond girl material, too. But we shall discuss her dress later (she's barefoot it seems :o though fine, to run to Butler that's totally understandable :)) ).

I'd say, that you have been pretty active, especially by insulting Alessandra.

Aren't you sometimes getting confused with all the ids that you are having here. It must suck always logging in with a different username though.

:)) :)) see how a simple concept can be twisted into something more interesting? :)) I can't think anyone would even dream of going unless there's lots of ass-kicking (as in fighting :)) ) and well, adequate show off of Gemma's beauty? The sexiness is very much part of the whole vampire/witches concept that's very popular in Hollywood and on TV nowadays, so I can't see Hansel & Gretel being an exception... especially not with the casting choices that were mentioned (Diane Kruger/Eva Green/Gemma Arterton, and Gemma won). Clearly they're going the way all the others go? :))

I shall ask our MI6 informants where you can reserve tickets :))

I have received a pm from R. Sterling claiming to be a german interpreter and only posting when he's at home.

Problem is, that there are many gramatical errors (zu hause, fehlende Kommata), so for the moment, I assume a good translating program.

I have asked him to call me right now, which did not happen. I am waiting Mr. Sterling and will apologize immediately after finding out, that you are really german.

    Missing commas my butt ;)

    Just looked it up again:

    http://www.akademie.de/gestalten/textgestaltung/kurse/neue-deutsche-rechtschreibung

Remember that annoying orthography/grammar reform we had back in 96, Bondtoys.

Changed quite a bit- for the worse of course.

Turns out we were both right:

The comma in question is now (since 96) optional.

    you two are awesome :x

but yeah, Sterling. Archaeology :P what did you think I did? Cunieform isn't THAT hard :P used to be able to write a little in it...but I turned my attentions more towards North American Indians (most of what we got taught at school), Stone Tools and Cave Art :P

PS. Nap? that Vase is, I believe, Sumerian or Assyrian...or that general part of the world. I could be wrong though. Pottery isn't my specialty :P

:)) :)) this whole thing was more dramatic than a full Bond movie. By the way Markus (Bondtoys)... and we know Rick(ardo) wasn't German, how? :)) (I AM JOKING! :)) )

    R. Sterling, we really didn't hit it off well given your first comment to me in the Cavill thread, BUT I'm not one to hold a grudge at all. So we can certainly have fun, or rather, increase the fun in here, from now on. Seems like German men are very much in fashion around here? :)) Excellent! :D

I am very fascinated by your vase comment Pen. As in, I could tell Roman etc pottery because our yards are FULL of it and I've seen so much of it :)) But not much else, and it's great to be able to put our history together through stuff that was indeed what thousands of years ago people used everyday (or anyway stuff they had in their houses). Interesting about native Americans being your focus.

I have studied quite a lot of the Ancient Egyptians in my day but I need to refresh the lesson... Mr Cavill has a vested interest in Egyptology (that is one of the two things he would have done if he hadn't been an actor. Pursue a degree in that/join the forces), and I can't really afford to look like a fool during conversation while we have our boat party in Monte Carlo, can I? :)) You're lucky Sir Sean probably knows jack about archeology, so YOU will be the one he has to keep up with. See? Heels to hold on to his arm plus this. Victory guaranteed for you :v :))

ETA: NP, just :)) Where do you always find the perfect images to match the conversation? :)) Those are hilarious references.

:)) wish there were more pottery around here...early Native American pottery is reeeeeally rare. Though, on my last dig, we found some :D my fave. ancient Roman era pottery is the red-on-black style. SO pretty :D

Personal objects are what got me into archaeology in the first place. Being able to find and hold something that an ancient human (or humanoid) created in the past...oh man. it sends shivers up my spine. The ruins and stuff are cool too, but there's nothing like personal objects.

Egyptology is awesome...it's what gets a lot of people hooked on this profession in the first place...including me. there's just SO much cool history over there.

I know exactly what you mean, Pendragon.

That was what let me dabble in archaeology way back at the university.

The "touch" as I liked to call it.

To hold, to "touch" something another human being, gone and forgotten since so darn many centuries now, had once created or just held like I hold it today, gave me strange shivers.

    Morbid and melancholic magic.

That shows you your place in the universe.

Happy New Year to you too!

Ahem, Lexi dear, Daniel clearly doesn't have the best taste in women (no I'm not a big fan of Weisz. I've got nothing to say in terms of her good looks, she's definitely attractive. But I find her damn bland. And I don't like her acting.) But that's why we exist. See, as you know a man's taste can be "guided", right? We will make him make the appropriate choice and come to the Monte Carlo yacht party, don't you doubt :v All it takes is Bond girl teamwork :v And, of course, your charms :D

:)) Mr Sterling, glad you were entertained. That's exactly the purpose of this thread. :D Alongside girly talk of course :D
yes, Alessandra. At least, it was more dramatic than QoS and (in your books) the hero was more attractive than there, too ;)

Yeah I concur, that's exactly what I meant. It's incredibly fascinating. And yeah, Roman era pottery is very pretty. Pretty sure if you dig in our yard, you'll find quite a few things. We even found a Roman coin :))

Oh, absolutely. And see? Cavill just knows :D He's so damn cool. Gorgeous, smart, talented... and such a gentleman. I am thinking he must stink (as in sweat and stuff) or something, otherwise he's too bloody perfect. :)) Well, he's a bit young, but I can get over that quick :)) I'll need to take out my books and re-read, I want to be absolutely up to task :)) We can be like Antonio and Cleopatra :x (yes it's ANTONIO, not Anthony, that was his name, he was Roman :)) ). Somehow Antonio is SO much less refined than Anthony :)) Except I won't kill myself with a snake :))
victory indeed :D though, they'll have to be reeeeeeally small heels if I've got to wear them :p

Oh don't worry. I managed to make friends of mine who had NEVER worn heels their whole life be on them for an entire night. And dance. And they went and bought a pair after! :)) it's just a matter of finding the right shape. And when it comes to shoe-shopping? NOTHING stops me :v :))
