But oddly, he looks young and great promoting his Dragon Tattoo film, where he's meant to be 50-ish and craggy, and looks old and grey as Bond. Gee, I can't make sense of this world.
Good spot nap.... Some interesting comments on QoS...
It seems that the script is sometimes an after-thought on huge productions.
‘Yes and you swear that you’ll never get involved with **** like that, and it happens. On “Quantum”, we were fxxxed. We had the bare bones of a script and then there was a writers’ strike and there was nothing we could do. We couldn’t employ a writer to finish it. I say to myself, “Never again”, but who knows? There was me trying to rewrite scenes – and a writer I am not.’
You had to rewrite scenes yourself?
‘Me and the director [Marc Forster] were the ones allowed to do it. The rules were that you couldn’t employ anyone as a writer, but the actor and director could work on scenes together. We were stuffed. We got away with it, but only just. It was never meant to be as much of a sequel as it was, but it ended up being a sequel, starting where the last one finished.’
It was still a massive commercial success though. So it wasn’t a failure in that sense.
‘No, quite. Thank God it worked, and it worked like gangbusters. But for me personally, on a level of feeling satisfied, I would want to do better next time. That’s really important to me.’
Given the photos on the rooftop and the photos in Time out, I suspect the editors of Time out used huge amounts of Photoshop to achive the look they wanted, and when Skyfall comes out Craig will look refreshed and youg as the computer Boys will of cleaned up the digital footage as in "X-Men Last stand" when they took years of Patrick Stewart. as for Craigs complaints about QOS, Don't they have a saying about Bad workmen blaming their tools ? )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
What Craig said seemed fair enough, but it really is a case of history repeating itself as with TND, where the script isn't nailed down.
What is annoying is that in fairness they did have time to hammer something out, but took too long. After all, Haggis came up with a treatment that got thrown out (Vesper turning out to have a kid, Bond not taking care of it at the end, which the producers thought was a bit odd, fair enough) so they had to start from scratch... Of course, director Roger Donaldson (was it he? went on to do The Bank Job methingks, which I liked a lot, but could be wrong here) cried off (prob with good reason, if I'm being cynical) so again, that held QoS up a lot, hence they weren't ready when the strike kicked in.
That Time Out shot isn't contemporary, it only had to be a few months ago. It's putting the muscle or weight on that ages Craig, he looked fine in a pap shot but three months ago if that.
I won't be sucked into this Craig discussion on here, sorry )
Let's talk about his outfit. That scarf needs to be rethought because it makes him look like a grandpa. Tie it a different way or just don't use it at all and show jacket and tie under open coat. And please pick a different color, too. There, this is the Bond girl watercooler observation about the rooftop one.

Alessandra,
Please teach us! what variation of the scarf tie would make it better?
Oh, and while you're around Al, what would a chic Parisian mademoiselle wear these days? Dior? It's for a piece I'm doing, I don't need much detail, "All I need is a name...." (TWINE)
Alessandra,
Please teach us! what variation of the scarf tie would make it better?
It needs to have a knot in the middle, or actually two, sort of like a loose tie, and I can't really explain, I'd need to do it to show how the knot is kept flat and makes it look like you're a trendy 30 something instead of a grandpa waiting to go to bed ) ) As far as the color, light blue, or a cream and black or cream and navy blue one (dark color in the middle, border with cream color, which would stand out with the knot). I can't freaking understand what color his coat is. Black? Navy? Dark Grey? Of course in case they want to dare with the color and depending on the accessories they can always go for a bright coral, too. Probably my favourite amongst all the alternatives, but I'm imagining it worn by Pierce, not worn by Craig ) Him being so pale and blond, the bright coral one probably wouldn't suit him that well.. it would suit the outfit but not him.
Oh, and while you're around Al, what would a chic Parisian mademoiselle wear these days? Dior? It's for a piece I'm doing, I don't need much detail, "All I need is a name...." (TWINE)
Hahah bear in mind, before Dior there's ALWAYS Chanel and Hermès. Depending on the age, Céline can be an option too. (a 20-something or 30-something modern chic would probably wear Céline).
Or for a timeless, classic look (AND PLEASE FORGET THE HORRENDOUS SHOES/THONG BOOTS they put with it, wtf are people thinking at CHANEL even with accessories?) here is Chanel:
Did you mean in general or for an evening look, black tie type of thing? If black tie I'd definitely go for Chanel, if you mean a person who is chic all day long, and has a modern style and is 20 or 30 something, then Céline. If you want a timeless daytime look, then Hermès scarf, gloves and bag needless to say (A Birkin or a Kelly, depending on your taste ) and yes those are the BAGS.. I'm sure you'll choose based on the actresses, though LOL) paired with a classic chanel dress and jacket. Or an Yves Saint Laurent coat with those. Dior is the last one I'd pick, it's the one that's kept the least French style of them all and it's really incredibly baroque at this point.. they need to fix it pronto!
"Are we on coms?" (if you don't know where this is from... you've missed some really good stuff! )

) Napoleon dear, you surely don't believe there is ONE Hugo Boss shop in the entire city? They won't be getting any anymore in THAT shop because each shop has an "allowance" when it's about haute couture. They only get so many pieces of each product and cannot re-order. If your sister goes to another shop she'll find it Unless I misunderstood what the shop assistant said and she was referring to the ENTIRE collection but I seriously don't think so. It's hundreds of pieces at best and the cost is WAY too high for that to happen. It costs less to just ask the designer to make one or two custom-made bags. So I definitely think she was just referring to that specific store.

) The one I am referring to in terms of modern and stylish is the double flip in the photo. The European formal is extremely dangerous when not done properly as that is exactly the one that makes you look like a grandpa ) The neck tie also works, depending on what type of scarf one is wearing (must not be too big). And, of course, the classic flip as well. Anything but the style they picked for Craig in that photo, in short )
My sister informs me that they only had that bag for that particular store, according to the assistant. Anyway, she has got her workmate on the case, as she is a Hugo Boss fan too.

But Craig appears to be sporting the european knot, no? wasnt this the 'grandfather knot'?
It is the grandfather knot. Not good unless you pull it off really well, and what they did wrong with the Craig one was that they basically formed a V with the knot, which this well-done European one in the photo doesn't. It's tighter and straighter, it doesn't form that V pattern that is so horrible and makes so grandpa.

Alessandra, the knot is called the "Hoxton" after a very trendy part of London. Whenever I've seen an interview with him wearing a scarf he always has the hoxton knot. I think the grey is a good contrast if he is wearing the same grey trousers we saw in earlier shots. At a previous job whenever I wore the black scarf/coat combo I was always asked "where's the funeral?".
I have to say that I've noticed a few Men on the Underground recently sporting grey scarves with their dark overocats.
EDIT: Is it the same as the European Formal? Wonder why it's know as the Hoxton then? Odd.

Hello Mr Martin Aston! My problem with Craig's knot is, well, it's not stylish.. it's the way 80-year-olds in this country (Italy) wear scarves. And I think at least fashion-wise we don't need lessons! ) (on fashion and food plus art we don't. On all the rest, sadly, we do and badly ) ). The European knot shown in the photo is not executed the way it is in Craig's photos... it's tighter and doesn't form that horrible, old-man like V shape. And I still think the color of the scarf isn't good. It should be way "livelier". A light blue is probably the most appropriate choice. Although I'd go for a coral but like I explained, with Craig's pale complexion and blond hair it wouldn't go down too well, so while it would suit the outfit, it wouldn't suit HIM ) Also, Bond is a super stylish secret agent so not only the color should be different but the knot should definitely not be the one every man of a certain age wears... )

Although I'd go for a coral but like I explained, with Craig's pale complexion and blond hair it wouldn't go down too well, so while it would suit the outfit, it wouldn't suit HIM ) Also, Bond is a super stylish secret agent so not only the color should be different but the knot should definitely not be the one every man of a certain age wears... )
