Goldeneye Title Sequence: Original Reels

Some time ago I found these film reel canisters in the bottom of a cupboard at work. They hadGoldeneye 007 written on them, so I decided to have a look by scanning them on a slide scanner. Low and behold found the actual dancing ladies from the title sequence - pre-compositing! The other rolls have various other communist and 007 iconography filmed in front of a blue screen. Intersting to see the process behind the Bond titles...

I've put together a little webpage on them:

So what do the real Bond aficionados think?

ps - there was an interesting article and interview with the director of the titles, but the website owner seems to charge for access:

I have someone who's willing to get those scanned properly! That's a pretty awesome find, but do you still have it?

Wow, a couple of cliché expressions immediately come to mind: “how I wish I were a fly on that set” and “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” Those are really interesting finds and I’m pleased that the spirit of Maurice Binder lived on...thanks for sharing!
