Significant others and Bond books

My significant other was recently lamenting the fact she had no good books on her bedside table to read. I passed her DEVIL MAY CARE and said it was okay if she wanted to read a lightweight thriller, but didn't come close to Fleming's amazing body of work.
She read DMC and liked it enough to give a Fleming original a try. She's now reading LIVE AND LET DIE and enjoying it! She said after reading the first chapter how evident it is that Fleming is the superior writer. (I'd like to ad she went through the Writer's Workshop at Iowa State and knows good writing.)
I was wonedering if anyone else out there has tried converting their better half to the ways of Fleming's literary Bond.

More recently she also lamented she had nothing new to read and I offered "Casino Royale". Since she very much liked the film it was an easy sell. It turns out she quite liked it, and appreciates Bond alot more. Hope to get her on LALD soon, one of my favorites.
