Without wishing to tread on Jeff's toes, I think sparklets would be too small and, although co2, won't develope enough gas for a satisfying cloud or jet efflux effect. From experience, long story from Iraq, a couple of 2kg co2 extinguishers would be the minimum I'd go for, these also have the bonus of doubling for the side cylinders of the Jet Pack. eBay have loads of suitable examples at fairly reasonable prices. One word of caution though with co2, make sure you don't touch any of the active pipe work during discharge or for about 10 minutes after, otherwise you will lose the skin of whichever body part touches the pipes.
