Leicester Square (London) Premier

StrangewaysStrangeways London, UKPosts: 1,469MI6 Agent
Does anyone have any news/rumours on where tickets for the QoS London Premier can be bought? I recall in 2006 they used all three cinemas in LS and it was packed. I would LOVE to be involved and would be grateful for any information people have.

Thanks.

Hmmm...might be a tricky one this time 'round, as the movie doesn't open to the general public the same night. However if tickets will become available it'll show up on this (and other 007) forum asap, no doubt.

Don't understand! Won't the premier be the 30th October, ie: the day before the general release date???

Anyone with Premier Ticket news that they don't want to make public - please PM me.

    Thanks.

A friend of a work colleague has just told me that she is going to the Premier with a corporate group. This seems so unfair! I have been a loyal Bond FANATIC for 30 years. Anyone got news on whether tickets for the Premier are available to mere mortals?????

    ?:)?:)?:)?:)

I'll be standing in the crowds, hopefully as near the front as possible, I'd love to get Daniel Craig's autograph :p

Anyone with any premier experience - how early should I arrive in order to claim a front-spot? :)

In 2006 I ventured to Leicester Square straight from work, so it was after 5pm when I got there. I didn't see anything :'( other than the back of people's heads and the posters etc. Not even a glimmer of an atmosphere to soak up, it was drizzling I seem to remember. Such an anti-climax, and I couldn't even get a bus home because the roads were closed.

If I can't get tickets for next month's extravaganza I doubt if I will even bother this year, unless anyone wants to meet up and we can be miserable together!!

PM me if anyone else is going to try to get near the front!! {[]

Does this mean it was incredibly busy? I'm prepared to arrive very early ;)

And here's a way to purchase premier tickets. Albeit, at a price of £3,000 per person:

For the CR Premiere, I was there in Leicester Square @ 12.15pm - and had to unexpectedly take my place at the front of the red carpet crowd barrier, almost immediately! :o

I've been doing the crowd thing since GE, and that's the earliest I've ever had to take my place - it was usually around 3.00pm previously,
but all the barriers and such were already up, and so we had to grab a decent spot quickly

    It was worth it though!, I had a pretty successful night, on the Autograph front! {[];

Firstly, DANIEL CRAIG, is the NICEST Celeb that I have EVER met!!! -{ :007)

I told him to his face, that I thought that he was going to be, quote: “Brilliant!” in the role - he thanked me, shook my hand, and gave me an autograph!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I also got signatures from the following (all of them, were more than happy to sign things):

    EVA GREEN
    MADS MIKKELSEN
    CATERINA MURINO
    SEBASTIEN FOUCAN
    JEFFREY WRIGHT
    JUDI DENCH
    MICHAEL G. WILSON
    DAVID ARNOLD
    CHRIS COURBOLD
    KEN ADAM

MARTIN CAMPBELL: very nice bloke, happily chatted to us, like he was talking over the garden fence with us! :)) :D

BARBARA BROCCOLI: thanked us for braving the rain, to come out, and support them that evening :007)

MARYAM d’ABO: apologised for the “appalling handwriting” (her words – not mine!) of her autograph!! :))

RICK YUNE: seemed genuinely surprised that we were beckoning him over for an autograph! (a very modesty bloke, obviously :) ), and he signed A LOT of things for people, all the way down the crowd

Meanwhile, at the arse-end of the “Bond-Universe”, comes this little trio!…..:

MICHELLE YEOH: is a complete B*TCH!, and totally ignored all the Bond Fans five feet away from her, asking for her autograph!! X-(

SHIRLEY BASSEY: is a complete DIVA! – forget ever getting anything out of her!, she sailed right past us, giving everyone her “Royal” wave!!,
we all just rolled our eyes and laughed – knowing what she’s like, personality-wise!,
    true-to-bl**dy-form she is! – she’s consistent!, I’ll give her that!! 8-) :))

GARY POWELL (2nd Unit / Stuntman): just laughed at a request for an autograph, from a guy stood next to me! :o

Wow! Well, I guess that's put that idea away. I mean it does sound fabulous, but £3000 is just toooooo much over budget. I mean £1000 I would consider, but I guess I'll just have to make do with the Ian Fleming Tribute Night at the Palladium. Really looking forward to that!!!

I remember tickets for TWINE only being £225 (not including the party)

Nap, you know my line of work is not at all overpaid in comparison to similarly qualified jobs in London. £1000 I would consider, but not necessarily fork out for. £3000 is not even worth considering!

First post here - hello to all!
While I haven't been at a Bond prem before, I've been at some really big ones in Leicester Square - Return of the King, Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter & the OoTP - and the key is getting there early and hoping you've got a good position. What do I mean by early? For HP I was there at 8.30am, for Star Wars, 9.30am (but I got JK Rowling and George Lucas' autographs so I didn't mind the sore feet!!) but they were only using one cinema, the Odeon and you knew the cars were gonna pull up in front of the Radisson. Since QoS is using 3 cinemas, I don't know where the actors will be dropped off, so to speak. Anyone know from the Casino Royale prem since I think they used the 3 cinemas for that one as well?
