There were many, many things I enjoyed about that trailer, but perhaps my favourite part was the sight of a large building exploding in a fireball. Hurrah!
Well, it looks very different from CR. Interesting taster of direction style there, camera following Bond and opponent as they fall, the rear quarter and side vent mounted cameras on the Aston (which seems to get quite an outting this time round). It's also feels a different "colour", if that makes sense to anyone, and feels angrier and tense.
I know nothing about the plotline, but the Bond markers are checked in that preview, and cool "main" section of the Bond theme as well. Bring it on! :007)
Freakin' AWESOME! We hadn't been given much about Greene and Camille before, and this trailer delivers, making both look like intriguing characters. Some of the scenes recall Thunderball and The Spy Who Loved Me--two of my favorite Bonds--so that's also a good sign. Darn--still over two months away!
Yes, Hardyboy, the shot of Bond and Camille walking side-by-side in that desert-like environment reminded me of TSWLM. What an awesome trailer; action-packed...
The shot with the picture of Vesper with the necklace and Vesper martini really caught me.
The shot of them falling through the roof was just amazing. You see some crappy effects in movies but that was so clear and well done, which is why it was so stunning...

That trailer's looking pretty good. When I saw the first one during TDK, it fell a little flat on the audience. Maybe this one will invigorate a bit more.
One thing I'm on the look out for is the music tot he trailer, hopefully that will be released much like the Casino Royale one was in all it's parts by Smirnoff (here's hoping). Although I wasn't a great fan of the music as the logo appears it sounds a bit like an attack on the ears, with the Bond theme not quite making it through someone running through some metal rubbish (trash) bins!

Yeah - it sounds as though there are two different pieces of music being played there |)
Saw the trailer on You Tube.
Don't know if anyone else has said this, but judging from the trailer, Quantum Of Solace is going to kick Royale A$$!
Man I'm so excited to see this movie, I might just line up at the cinema right now!!!

I love the trailer, although to be honest my reaction was not as strong as it was to the CR trailer. Nonetheless - I can't wait for the South African release date - November 21 - I wish we didn't have to wait so long down here!!
I thought it was brilliant - lots of classic Bond stuff but done in an updated way (if that makes sense!). Personally I am much more excited than after the CR trailers, since then I was still uncertain at Craig's ability to pull it off.
use the link that Si just posted...I've just watched it again!
It must be me Lexi, but the Trailer left me cold. Nothing to do with your beloved Daniel, but all the jump cuts and annoying quick fades in the world couldn't disguise that it all felt a bit dull. I have a real problem with too much Dame Judy/M In the field. I think that because they have such a class act that they feel compelled to (over) use her this started in the Brosnan era and seems to be continuing.
I suppose the trailer may have just highlighted what for me are real concerns re this plotline/sequel approach. As I never really 'bought' the Bond- Vesper relationship in CR (it moved much too rapidly from hostility/indifference from Vesper to undying love to be truly credible) it creates a problem for QOS. Personally I would have prefered a new story without a kind of re-hashed SPECTRE (It all feels a bit second hand) Also is Bond going to spend the whole movie covered in muck & blood? I'm all for 'gritty' & 'hard edged' but relish the prospect of a Bourne style misery fest (fine for Bourne but not for Bond as Bond requires the contrast of peril & glamour/style to really work)
I also felt that it didn't play well in the room (moview awards last night) as it seemed to get a muted response.
The real issue is not how the Trailer plays with us the diehards, but with the less committed viewing public who probably can't remember/don't care much about the minutae of CR.
I do agree that Kylie looked stunning. It looks to me that QOS could use some of that proper style of glamour in it's leading ladies.

I couldn't agree more with those statements, zaphod. It is all well and good to see Bond being realistically "chewed up" by all the action that he gets himself into, but a BIG part of Bond's world that is all but missing in Bourne's is glamour, and hopefully we will get to see Bond looking sharp (and clean ) in some fine, unwrinkled threads in more than a few scenes in the movie.
Also, although Olga is not a beauty in the classical sense, she is a smokin'-hot, sexy woman. However, in many of the glimpses of her that we get in the trailer, it seems that QoS has managed to make her look rather ordinary. I really hope that when we get to see the whole movie, we can see her with more glamorous attire, hairdo and make-up as well.
As far as the villain, I have to say that I feel underwhelmed by Mathieu Amalric. He doesn't seem to possess enough menace to be a physical threat or enough stature to be a Blofeld-like mastermind. To me, he looks even less imposing than Mads Mikkelsen, who some people felt was not scary enough to be Le Chiffre. Still, this problem of not-very-formidable villains is shared by quite a few other entries in the series as well.
However, before being called a QoS basher, I should say that I'm impressed with a lot of things in that trailer. The camerawork is top-notch (the camera following the falling men, etc...), and some of the action scenes promise to be quite thrilling (the aerial dogfight, the car chase...). The variety of locales is great as well.
Craig again seems to be doing an excellent job in these action scenes, and proves once more that he is the most physical Bond yet. I've grown to appreciate the gravitas and the commitment that he brings to the role of Bond, and I'll say this: Craig's Bond, IMO, is more formidable than Matt Damon's Bourne in every way. I may not always like the way he chose to play Bond, but I respect it, and believe that he has brought many new fans to the series, which is of course a great achievement.

You know, if there was one critisism of the trailer, its the fact that is was too cut and paste for me....don't get me wrong, I love where the movie is going, the feel of it, the story, but can you just give us a good amount of time in one scene!
...and Zaphod...I know he's my beloved Daniel, but I can see he is still not everyone's cup of tea!
I have a real problem with too much Dame Judy/M In the field. I think that because they have such a class act that they feel compelled to (over) use her this started in the Brosnan era and seems to be continuing.
Perhaps it's just the trailer that makes it look that way, and we don't in fact get to see her as much?
The real issue is not how the Trailer plays with us the diehards, but with the less committed viewing public who probably can't remember/don't care much about the minutae of CR.
Oh I think the less die hard fans will see this trailer as a much more action packed Bond Movie...(rather unlike CR with the highly critisised Card game scene...that they kept saying was too long...) I think you can trust the public to think that this is definitely worth seeing.

I have an Alfa - just need an Aston !
It will be better than Casino Royale, I have no doubt now. It looks brilliant.
Whos the guy who says - we should just deal with nice people?
Where did you find this? I can't seem to find the HD trailer anywhere...

A "Specter" like secret organization for Bond to start messing with? Craig alluded to one during CR press... That ROCKS!
