Pink Floyd Keyboardist and founding member Richard Wright died of cancer today at age 65.
Just wanted to make a thread to pay tribute to one of my favorite musicians of my favorite band.
Rick Wright was arguably the heart of Pink Floyd. Without his beautiful artistry on the Keyboards, Pink Floyd would simply not be Pink Floyd. If possible, I encourage everyone to listen to Pink Floyd today in honor of this great artist who will be dearly missed by fans of Floyd, and fans of good music, everywhere!
RIP RICK! I'LL SEE YOU ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!
All you Floyd fans out there, please use this thread to pay homage to Rick and share your thoughts on his marvelous life's work:

I hadn't even heard that Wright was ill
This ought to close the door on the Floyd, making their final performance (with Roger Waters) at Live 8 a couple of years ago all the more significant. All that's left is three very talented individual musicians...with a messy estrangement in-between. It's good that their best moments will live in recordings forever.
Rest in peace.

However, I will always remember "The Wall" as I practically grew up with it playing somewhere in the house, much to my parents annoyance.
A tragic loss to music, and surely those bands who took their inspiration from them.
