    1. When did you first start collecting?

I was collecting model cars and some Bond items before the release of Goldeneye, But I would have to say after Goldeneye i started to focus solely on Bond merchandise and collectables. so 1995 I started collecting Bond.

    2. What is your best item ?

My one off Only one of its kind in the world, GOLDEN GUN replica made by my Grandfather before he retired from a metal works facotry in Glasgow. It's made of Stainless steel and is Gold plated.... very unique ,, a complete one off..complete with a Gold Plated bullet with OO7 engraved on the tip, the JEWEL in my Collection... very special to me, as It was made as a Christmas Present and I received it on Christmas Present - about 6 years ago after bugging my Grandfather about The Man With The Golden Gun and the Film prop Gun. :))

    3. How much would you think your collection is worth ?

Just giving a rough estimate about £15,000 give or take a few hundred pounds. last time i added it all up it was about £7,000 and I have added a lot of expensive items since.. some rare and valuable collectables...

    4. Is there any particual Bond item you are looking for at the moment?

I am never looking for anything, Bacause if there is ever something that I cannot get or buy I simply start making a replica... that goes for Props...... However I am looking for some vintage collectables to add to my collection. Old Corgi 60's and 70's Bond items, Gilbert figures, Multiple toys, etc etc

    5. Where do you purchase your items?

A lot off eBay and what I can't buy I make , But I would say eBay is my biggest resource in Collecting.... the best thing on the Net and equal par to AJB007.CO.UK and The Quartermaster website :)) :)) only Kidding but yes eBay is a great resource to all of us collectors I am sure we would all agree..

    6. Where do you display your items?

I have a James Bond room with glass display cases and areas for displaying props and collectables. I like to keep it all neat and tidy but sometimes it does get a bit out of hand if there is some unfinished Props and replicas lying around. But I try my best to keep on top of all that and keep it looking like my own Bond museum ....

    7. Do you think you will ever stop collecting?

One statment that springs to Mind about me and all of us collectors, is something David Zaritsky - The Mantis said in the video tour of his collection . He said a collector never stops. Your collecting only stops wen you Die ... So I would have to say no I will never stop .. I sometimes say to myself and friends and family when thy ask and say.... whats left to get for the Bond collection now or how much more can you fit into that display ,,, And sometimes say its coming to and end but I know.. it will never end....

The good news is that the actual founder has been using his newfound wealth to fund causes like the environment, world hunger, and more. While the pile he received wasn't quite the size of Africa, he is at least applying it there!

    1. When did you first start collecting?

I first started buying "spy toys" about age 7. I would guess that I understood that I was actively collecting around 15 or so.

    2. What is your best item ?

I'm not sure how to interpret "best." Rarest, most valuable, most popular ... those I could probably respond to more easily! I often come back to the factory tooling for the Connery hand puppet as the one piece where so many factors converge.

    3. How much would you think your collection is worth ?

    See PM.

    4. Is there any particual Bond item you are looking for at the moment?

Just one?! The Sears Bond and Oddjob dolls and outfits (all so rare--other than Bond--that I wonder if they even exist), MR child's playsuit, Toyota 2000 by Clifford ... and that's just the top three!

    5. Where do you purchase your items?

Originally, toy shows (fairs in the UK) and specialist dealers. Sadly, anymore, it's all eBay ...

    6. Where do you display your items?

I keep a selection of "tourist" pieces in cases in my dining room, the rest in a special room devoted just to Bond.

    7. Do you think you will ever stop collecting?

I think the nature of my collecting might evolve in response to the market, but I doubt I'll ever stop collecting.

    1. When did you first start collecting?

Early 60s (45 years ago, aged about 10/11), when I acquired my dad's three Bond paperbacks, my original news cuttings and mags date from 1965 (I have since acquired a few older ones). My first "toys" were the Lone Star James Bond gun (Walther P38) and of course Corgi's 007 Aston Martin DB5.

    2. What is your best item ?

Difficult to say, but I am rather fond of my original (although tatty) BSA Thunderball poster.

    3. How much would you think your collection is worth ?

Again, difficult to say - about 15 years ago I had about a third of my collection on show in an exhibition, a conservative estimate for insurance purposes put that third at about £10,000 :o which was the first time I had ever thought about value, it was frightening - and of course, it's grown somewhat since then. Worth noting is that the most expensive items I've ever bought were the Danbury Mint DB5 (about £125 I think) and the UE DVDs c/w attache case.

    4. Is there any particual Bond item you are looking for at the moment?

Anything that is cheap and that I haven't got.

    5. Where do you purchase your items?

Toy shops, WH Smith, Ottakers/Waterstones, Memorabelia, eBay, boot sales etc.

    6. Where do you display your items?

Books (and DVDs/videos/CDs) on Bookshelves in my lounge and hall way, a few models in glass cabinets, most of the rest is tucked away or boxed etc in either my bedroom or in the spare room - only the kitchen and bathroom are Bond free.

    7. Do you think you will ever stop collecting?

My collecting did slow down during the Moore era, much to my regret, but it never stopped and I doubt if I will ever stop, even when I was out of work I managed to buy something
