The new Walther P99 upgrade has been released. I think it looks much better than the latest generation P99.

Not just yet, give it a few months.

Thanks, I saw the Walther America website still has the old one.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like the old p99 better, plus I love shooting it!!!

The pistol was designed by the Polish military?

The trigger look special - can you explain ASP9mm?
  • Herr MichaelHerr Michael Posts: 360MI6 Agent
That is a trigger safety. If the trigger is not depressed straight back, it will not move.

Walther tried a similar trigger on first generation P99's that did not work well. The design was dropped shortly after the first few thousand pistols. My #237 P99 has that trigger, and as the polymer wears, it's functioning as a reliable safety decreases.

Nice P99, but I still prefer the earlier models.

    Too complicated for me, eh?

I suggest, that the so-called expert sits on his rear and does his homework.

This is a polish production sledge, the pistol is exclusively made for the polish army.

Now bow down and praise the real expert :D

The first generation P99 is IMHO the best looking of the P99s - and mine works exceptionally well. Walther seems to be evolving this model into progressively stranger looking pistols as they move towards making a straight knock off of a Glock!

I guess DC doing a "press check" on his blank adapted P99 inspired the front slide serrations! Walther must feel this is just the right pistol for "the blinger with the slick trigger finger"!

    :o

    P.S.

Is the "Coke Zero" advert etched on the other side of the pistol?

    ;)

Great, now we have another expert to rival Revilo :(

As to the P99 we are talking about (Polish)
The Slide and barrel will be made in Poland and the frame and all parts that are internal to the slide are made by Walther.......
The new P99 that is fully made by Walther has different slide serrations vs the Polish military guns. The triggers are DAO or a QA trigger wich is now allowed for police duty (previously precocked guns were not allowed for police service in Germany) since it does not require to have the trigger pulled for take down.
It is a nifty set up on this QA as there is no decocker as on the previous P99, yet it does not need the trigger pulled for take down.

We will at this time not see the new P99, it is for LE and Military only.

You can call me names. But never put me next to Revilo!
This is a downright insult and will be sanctionned with immediate elimination and cancelling of any support. {:)

But wait, you have my watch still in hands.. ;%

Here I come up with that clever bit about the Coke Zero advert and you guys start sniping at each other!

Not only did you detract from my witty remark, but "Revilo" was mentioned a few times and that made me shudder. Every time I see that name it makes me think that he might have returned ... AND THAT IS SCARY!!!!!

    {:)

Me and Asp9mm sniping on each other??

Isn't it more like an elephant (BT) stepping on a fly (Asp)?

Agreed, even the appearance of the "R" name is scary.
It also scared me, that Asp9mm always patiently and politely replied to HIS questions. If I am coming up with something intelligent, I get immediately being bashed! :#

    What confuses me even more:

I am reporting almost every post from him but he has never been kicked off the board, though this worked with "R" :D
