Is this gilbert ?

I was looking through some pictures I had saved yesterday and came across these ones. It is of the Jaws figure circled red, It has no base to it. And looks the same size as the Corgi or Gilbert figures. I have not seen this one on eBay before (I check everyday), Could anyone help me with what it is and the price. This would go nicely next to a Jaws icon figure. Image below.

Sorry if this are someone's pictures on here. I cant remember where I got them from. (Nice collection if it is yours)

Ah, now this rings a bell. If I've got this right, it's a corgi figure. Quite small.

10 years or so ago, Corgi relesed a range of 007 vehicles in closed boxes, mostly silver with a photo of the model on the front - inc the DB5, Lotus, Moonraker shuttle etc. and each one came with an exclusive figure. I think this is one of those.

I'll look in to this more and come back to you.

yeah, just found one on ebay, and it does indeed.

The other option is the Doyusha Moonraker model kit that came with Bond, Holly and Jaws figures that needed to be painted.

a small point to remember was that gilbert never made any Bond toys after the mid 60's largly because it was James Bond who killed them. after there success with the Gilbert Bond action figures of Bond and Odd Job and other smaller figures , toys and play sets...

they then produced the Gilbert Road Race slot car set ... the technology was out sorced to japanese companies and lots of the road race sets had flaws in them ... for example say 5000 were produced. about 200 actualy worked so thousands were sent back to Gilbert from costomers who bought them for the kids through the SEARS Christmas catolog .. and the return of all these = the loss of sales Bankrupted Gilbert... this is why these Road race sets are so rare..

I am thinking of writing an article on all the Bond vintage toys for ajb007.co.uk

many of my own collectables are soon to feature in an article about the Bond toys in the magazine entitled "COLLECTORS MART" in its october.. release..

i am not 100% where you get the magazine I have seen it for sale in WHSmiths in the past but you may order it , i was contacted by a writer for the magazine and asked if i would suply photos of some of the rare and vintage toys and collectables on my website... so i knew of the magazine and the writer was a realy nice guy to chat to. so i was more than happy to oblige.. I am to receive a FREE copy of the magazine as i supplied the images...

also the article i would write for AJB007.CO.UK and my site would be very different... and only datail the toys from the 60's and 70's Bond toy boom.

An Idea I did have was to write some articles for the collectors mart magazine myself mainly of the Bond film props ... which seems to be my speciality :))

But the vintage collectable and toys is also a big area of Bond which i love.. the old toys are fantastic and wee guys never grow up... :))

I love the artwork on the boxes of old Bond toys same as the vintage film posters its usualy a painting of sort ... nice well done, where as now its simply a photography or computer generated image..

The sad "practicality" of an industry contantlty chasing deadlines Q! - I agree, there is definately something to be said for classic traditionaly made advertising. Although a useful tool, CGI can be badly overdone.

    - Nice work on securing the article by the way!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

thanks.... Once I get my copy of the magazine I will try and source where to obtain a few copies if anyone wants one... if not I will scan the artcle featuring my collectables and post it here...

Cheers.. Thunderbird 2. Hopefully chat soon..

and I hope you can make the Bond props and collectors weekend at the museum soon.. Myself and Colin and the Bo'ness Bond car museum have set some wheels in motion for the planning....of it..... so some word shortly .. on a full weekend event , devoted to Bond props and collectables new and old.... vintage props, posters, cars, collectabls and toys etc... for some exclusivly invited guests... etc..

I remember "Model Mart", which (I think was later called "Model and Collectors Mart") transformed into "TV Film Memorabelia", which in the back of the October issue advertise the November issue as having an article on "vintage Bond toys" - would that be the mag you are talking about? Not a very good job of self promotion :D

He's referring to a particularly odious spammer who has been VERY busy on this site today. And no you are not the only one.
"Upset" is way too polite a word for my own opinion on the matter.

It seems to have been removed now, but earlier this afternoon the same repeat message was being posted on virtually every thread. It would appear that the member responsible has had his membership terminated.

It's an (almost) all Bond issue - just a pity that the person giving prices for the "Buyer's guide" gives prices that are "out of this world". He also has his own advert in the mag which looks like the same advert that first appeared donkeys years ago, the only thing that ever seems to change are the prices - does anyone ever buy anything from this man?
