Please let me know what you all think of my replica of the SIGNATURE Gun from Licence to kill. the prop is complete with gift box and all components, it also features the LED Lights in the pistol grip handle.
a few things inspired me to make this replica.

1. I love LTK it is an amazing film one of the best.

2. My Grandfather who used to do a lot of photogrophy as a hobby was getting rid of some old cameras and equipment as he has now finished with a lot of it. and I was looking through a Box of old bits and bobs I came across this Russian Box camera which I thought looked enough like the Hasselblad camera in order to make a decent replica prop from it.. so i decided to save this camera from the junk yard.

3. After seeing Kleynen's replica of the Signature Gun prop.on the forums
http://www.ajb007.co.uk/index.php?topic=30974
That just gave me the push I needed to finish a project which i had already started and shelved many times due to other work and props etc etc ... My replica does not even come close to Kleynen's and I am not trying to compare in any way ... come on the guy, used a real top of the range expensive, Hasselblad Camera... AMAZING .. work... so i will declare my replica as a Poor Man's Signature Gun :)) or the KGB version as opposed to the MI6 Q-Branch weapon as I did use a Russian Camera. :))

Please see my website's Dalton Props section for lots of interesting information regarding the original prop gun etc

Just to say that I think that both the signature gun replicas that I've seen on this forum are excellent! Congratulations and Kudos to you and Kleynen on 2 jobs very well done!

Creating props in the first place is a tough job, creating a replica of a well established prop is even harder, and to do so with similar materials on a budget. I can safely say you have pulled it off Q!

The use of the Russian camera is a nice poetic twist - thsi could almost be seen as a mark II of the weapon if featured in a film script. Even if it wasn't you would be hard pushed to tell it from the original without comparing the two closely.

The gift box is top notch too. Too many replica makers can focus on the key prop in itself, and foget the accutriments that go with it. Its nice to see that is not the case here. Nice work!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Thanks for the sneak peak at it Micheal ;)

I think both gun's are amazing, I could never do anything like this.

I think you have done a great job on this. The gun is great, It could be replaced with the real thing and nobody will notice :)) The box is a great addition to it to finish it off. Looks good on display. Well Done

Yes it was a project which i started many months ago then it sort of got put aside and forgoten about for a while in a box with other parts etc ...

then I saw Kleynen's And though I have got to finish this Gun...

so I spent a whole weekend 48 hours straight to finish it :)) I always set myself deadlines even when making a replica for my own collection at my leisure... It is very rare for me to put a prop aside for a long time and get back to it..

I watched LTK again last saturday... and I just though ok I will finish the Gun.. this week...

Thanks for all your Kind comments on the gun.. Hope I can ghet more feedback .... cheers..

I think it looks fantastic - an excellent piece SGG.

Your attention to detail is quite incredible.

A question - how the hell did you get the foam in the box cut so perfectly for the pieces to fit??

I lightly drew around the parts once I placed them out on the foam... I used surgeons scalpel... very very sharp... like something you would see in the Halloween Horror films...:)) But its ok in a prop or model maker's hands... just not in the hands of a dangerous phsycopath.:))

ok so the foam inside was actualy cut in 3 different layers and to the size of the box by the foam supplier I know... In Glasgow... as all the parts in the box vary in different depths and thickness... so it made it easier just cutting through the necesary layers... and not destroying a thick foam block...

this black foam would be pretty cool for all of our PPK's and gun replicas... if you were making a carry case for it for example..

Thanks for your Kind comments... Disco Volante...
