They are filming in Freemasons Hall (where they film Spooks) and St Pauls. Last night when I walked past there was a big line outside the museum in the square for what I'm guessing was a casting call for extras.

I will try and grab a few shots with my phone on the way back tonight.

Intresting titbit - the trailors all have names on them - Susan Downey, Director etc but also one witj "Lord Coward"....

Some pics of Downey and Law as Holmes and Watson have also popped up at AICN. Follow the link below and then click on either pic for more images.

Jude Law's Watson looks like he could kick Downey's Sherlock's butt. :))

Not the typical portly fellow I'm accustomed to. He looks like a villian.

I, for one, was never excited about Downey's casting as Holmes. These pics do nothing to change that. Being a big Conan Doyle fan, this is one flick which I'll catch on video (if they're lucky).

Here's another pic floating around the web of Downey's Holmes in action:

    oooooooooo.jpg

This looks like a scene out of Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

I really don't know what to think of this film yet but I'm not getting a Basil Rathbone vibe from it.

I think it was the bowler 8-) . Is this going to be a sort of Holmes Begins?

the fact that they've got Downey in pinstripes has sold me. I'll go see it, even though I'm a HUGE fan of the Basil Rathbone versions...

I hope not. We've already had that with Young Sherlock. One question, why is Downey Jr holding a large tuning fork? Could his piano have fallen out the window and he's tumbling after it.

I have no doubt that this is a picture of Holmes making off with one of Mrs. Hudson's Pampered Chef cooking utensils.

Somehow, this film being in development and production completely eluded me. Robert Downey Jr ?:)

I think he's very good in general---and was an excellent Tony Stark---but...
