QOS Game Help!!

Ok -I'm an oldy so therefore not so goody at playing games. Plus I am still playing on the antique PS2 -anyway I'm now in the "sink caves" and am up against the big boss Helicopter - I have to shoot both machine gunners and then the pilot.
Well I shoot one gunner but then that's it I just can not beat the other one -and I'm playing this on the easiest setting! Anyone got any tips -because I am sooooo frustrated and just want to beat this little bit.

If its anything like the Xbox 360 version - is there not a rocket launcher near you? Its at the end of the raised bit of cave that you shoot the helicopter from. But maybe the PS2 one is different...

Try shooting the pilot first

If its anything like the Xbox 360 version - is there not a rocket launcher near you? Its at the end of the raised bit of cave that you shoot the helicopter from. But maybe the PS2 one is different...

Haven't found a rocket launcher -just ammo for the sniper rifle. But everytime I get a shot in then I'm shot to ribbons.

As for shooting the pilot first -it won't let you -you have to shoot the two gunners before you get a chance to shoot the pilot.

This is where Ive gotten stuck too - and its getting to the point where I feel tempter to just throw in the towel.

I became v frustrated..beat it eventually though.Now I'm stuck on dimitrios

Went through the same frustration and realized there is a reason you are given a sniper's rifle and the ability to get more ammo. Head to the cave and get as far back as you can. Be patient as it will take multiple hits. Be advised: Second gunner is far more accurate when shooting within the cave so be careful. Once the gunners are gone, then you have the pilot to deal with. Follow same strategy as with the second gunner. Tricky theing with the pilot is targeting is not as clear as it is with the gunners.

As for the helicopter...I found it easier using one of the rifles - dont know its name, but the one with a clip of 30 and spare 90. I found it accuracy was better and you werent hurt by the slow reload time

There should be a bin near the end of the edge closest to the helocopter. When they stop fire run over to and get the ammo for the snipper rifle. Then just take them out. The bin will regenerat. So you can go back to it as many times as needed.

I play the 360 and had no trouble with the helicopter at this level, although I did with the helicopter at the Science Center. The 360 had a weapon called the D.A.D. system and it took the helicopter right out. The PS 2 versiion but I thought this might help if the games are similar. Couldn't find a Walkthrough for the PS-2.

Thanks for that guide -the PS2 version is quite different -you have to use the sniper rifles to take the helecopter gunners down and the pilot. Anyway I'm on the shanty town bit and will no doubt get through that bit -a bit quicker. Strange how the game jumps from QOS to CR though -although I don't mind too much as I am enjoying the game.

I have made it to Casino Royale, after finishing the Montenegro Train level. Enjoyed the train level, some good fire fights.

I agree about the storyline, jumping from QoS to CR is strange, and really makes no sense. Despite that I am enjoying the game.

QoS for the Xbox 360 is on sale for $39.95 on Amazon.com; I decided to go ahead and order a copy so I hope to be blasting may way thru the game as well soon....

I'm now trying to kill Dimitrios -I'll be glad when I've got past him -I'm dying to get on to the next bit especially as my boss' eight year old son is further into the game than I am!

Scaramanga !, you're on PS 2 aren't you. Im stuck on that level too. I would have thought that when you shoot someone over and over again that theyd die...BUT NO!!!!

Call out if you find out how to do it.

It took me ages to kill Demitrius. When you 'kill' him, run towards him and it will give you the option to grab him. Then you have to press the X, circle, square, triangle buttons in order when they flash on the screen or else you go through it all again!

Hope that helps.

Now, if someone wants to tell me hpow to Kill Greene, I'd appreciate it.

I'm going to try what you suggest shortly -BTW are you playing on the ps2 as well or are you using a different console? As pointed out earlier in this thread there are differences between each platform -consequently these tips will not always apply.

Killing demtrios was very hard i was stuck on it for hours

For the 360 you have to mash (hit numerous times quickly) the X at the end to kill him. Is it the same for the PS 2?

you press whichever symbol appears on screen -and then part way through it changes to another for example x followed by triangle -but when it switches if you don't get the timing right dimitrios beats you -it is so frustrating!

Is anyone still having trouble with this game. If so, I was in the process of making a walkthrough for the PS2 version of it since it seems you can't spit without hitting one for the next gen consoles. If anyone is interested, I will post it here. I have the first two levels after Whites estate on CBN, but I can post it here as well if you like.
