T&A Ltd Edition Evening Shirt & Bow Tie - UK heads-up

I popped into my local TK Max (Leeds - UK) to have a root around their tuxes, shirts etc for a couple of Christmas dos I have in December. I wondered over to the shirts area to see what they had to offer, and my eye caught 2 boxes they had on display. On closer inspection I found out that they were indeed these: http://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/index_clothing.php?m=cl&g=cl009

... and they were being sold for £49 each, reduced from the original £245. I didn't buy any as they didn't have my size....damn!

I thought I would share this here as it may be worth having a look around your local TK Max.

Dryden: Made you feel it, did he? Well, you needn't worry. The second is...
James Bond: Yes... considerably.

They only had 2 size 16", which is a shame, as I need a 15/15.5" neck.

There are at least 5 of these doing the rounds on ebay at the moment, appear to be genuine. do a search of james bond and you will see. Prices are ranging around the £100 mark. Could someone pm me if they find a 15.5 - 16 ? {[]

Erm... you didn't pick one up for collecting's sake ? It would make a great display piece, especially at that bargain price !

I am not really a collector for collections sake...buy more for wearing and use. Probably because I don't have the money or space for collections. Also, I wouldn't say that the boxes were in great nick...they had probably been on display for some time and were a bit dusty. But at £45 still a snip!

You're very lucky ! There aren't any in my local branches of TK Maxx - and I should know...I'm never out of the blasted stores :))

If anybody else finds these..please give me a shout.

I was 'enlightened' when I first discovered this forum, so trying to give back where possible.

I was also so surprised to see TK Max stocking such an item!

Drove 60 miles today to the nearest T K Maxx and could not find any hint of the shirt, bugger ! ( Will call first next time i think ! ) I am going to call their head office and see if I can locate a load of them, if there are any left. If I succeed in this, will there be any takers on this forum ? This will not be a 'for profit' thing so hopefully price should be around £45. Happy to send over to our US colleagues as well if needs be. Just giving everyone the heads up.

I went back to the shop today for a closer inspection. And to my horror discovered that I had read the neck size incorrectly. They are both 18" not the 16" I thought I had read yesterday...dumbass! Apologies for my poor information. But this explains why they are going cheap and probably that you may be hard pushed to find many more in other TK Maxs.

The presentation boxes are actually in quite good condition and all the contents are present. It is a shame to see them sitting there 'going to waste', so is anybody interested in 18" set?

I could only find them without the bow tie in size 18" and 19". TKMaxx say that Turnbull and Asser kept back the ties as the size is universal, and only the first batch made it through with ties by accident. All in all only about 30 shirts are being sold by them.
