I know most folk think that this movie stands well enough on it's own, but do you think it would have made sense to show key elements from Casino Royale in the titles of Quantum of Solace?

As for Kleinman not being hired, well Marc Forster had worked with MK12 on two of his previous films which is why they were hired.
Certainly hope so. Unconfirmed as yet.
It might tenuously be argued that, to an extent, they were---or at least, the consequences were implied. The women coming out of the sand, as if from Bond's subconscious, the depiction of Bond falling (which I interpret as despair, or grief), the desolation of the landscape as a metaphor for his emptiness inside.
Of course, that's easily dismissable as artsy-fartsy mumbo-jumbo But I stand by it...
And I don't see why Kleinmann wouldn't be brought back. I certainly hope he is, as I've always really enjoyed his work.
