Worst death to happen to anyone in a Bond movie

OHMSS
- The guy who got caught in the snow-blower.

AVTAK
- The KGB agent thrown into the propeller in 'Zorin's' hide out. Ouch!

TLD
- Saunders' death had to bite. A glass automatic door just slams into the guy!

LTK
- Krest being blown up in a decompression chamber. Feeling all that pressure building up, screaming when nobody can hear you and then feeling your entire head bubble up before it explodes. Yuck.

The late lamented Neon magazine once listed the end of LALD in its list of grisliest on-screen deaths. I paraphrase, but it was basically... "Kananga's body expands from within: he'll choke as he won't be able to breathe as his windpipe is blocked, his internal organs will be horribly mutated as his body expands, his skin will stretch and pull until that begins to split too. His body then explodes, tearing him apart into a thousand pieces.

The bloodied remains are then eaten by sharks."

By the time he gets to that point, after suffering that horrible death, would he really care what happens to his remains? :))

Or being shocked then sucked through a Jet engine. Nothing like being fryed then pureed. I guess that made Gustavs death a little less hard to swallow.

If you stop to think about it, Goldfinger probably had the worst death: first he gets sucked out of an airplane travelling as supersonic speed, then he floats around at 20,000 feet for a few minutes and finally he falls to his death - and he is probably conscious the whole time.

Honorable mention would probably go to Alec Trevaylian, who gets dropped several stories onto a hard cement surface, probably breaking every bone in his body, only to survive and have a flaming satellite dish drop on top of him.

Necros had a similar death. Minus being sucked out of a hole two times smaller than his own body size ;) I wonder if Necros held onto the boot all thee way down? I guess we'll never know.

That fight in TMWTGG in the club dressing room was pretty rough and stands out amidst a film often regarded for its OTT humour. Roger Moore uncharacteristically hits that guy's head against that wall- several times, and several of the goons then get blinded seconds later by that aerosol can- talk about the Lynx Effect. :)) -okay, that's not the first time that's been done, but the way that scene is handled and their reactions make is seem quite disturbing.

Moonraker - Corinne Dufour with her wellies on getting attacked by the dogs - brutal.

TSWLM - Stromberg's assitant and the shark bite - that's got to hurt!!

Goldfinger - Solo in the car crusher - yes we all know he wasn't actually in the car, but you just have to use your imagination.
A genuine Felix Leiter - illuminating

I don't know if this is officialy a death But that guard Bond throws into the maggots in LTK wouldn't of looked too good after a while.

Well, since maggots have no interest in living tissue*, it would merely have been an uncomfortable and disgusting experience for that particular henchman...unless he died of suffocation---or a heart attack :v

    * Especially obviously fake rubber 'maggots', which look much more like the rubber hooktail worms used with fishing lures. It's like Eon wasn't even trying here... :#

I bow to your superior knowlege of maggots Loeffelholz,I'm watching too many horror movies ;% and yes they are very fake looking but with all things Bond I try to look with rose tinted glasses Only last week I noticed Bond changes seats in the toyota sports car from leaving the sumo match to arriving at Hendersons home In YOLT, Only just noticed it after all these years.:))

The ones that affected me were Stromberg's secretary dropped for shark dinner, and the Kristatos crew member going overboard. (SOB wouldn't help him)

    I didn't like sharks. And I still don't today.

I always think that the maggots/worms what ever they were looked like over-cooked pasta shells. I think whoever came up with the effects should have been given the same fate as the guard...

It's only an edit. Peter Hunt was always of the opinion that the pace of the film was what mattered, and that slight continuity errors (particularly evident in TB and YOLT) were permissable.

The guy deprived of his parachute during freefall in the pre-credits sequence of 'Moonraker', and Necros who 'gets the boot' in TLD, both give an initial scream and then a second, ghastly scream, as if the realisation that their death is now certain takes a few seconds to sink in... I find this quite disturbing.

In 'Octopussy', I hate it when Roger Moore shoots the startled Russian soldier smack-bang in the forehead as soon as the Russian has opened up the back of the truck, seen Bond and tried to ready his machine gun... Okay, this Russian had the misfortune of being under the command of the crazy General Orlov, but, after all, the poor guy was just a professional soldier who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I also feel sorry for the two Italian policemen who go over a cliff with their vehicle in the pre-credits sequence to QOS - they were just a pair of (presumably) honest officers who got caught in the crossfire - and I hate not knowing whether the anonymous woman bystander who cops a bullet in QOS was fatally injured.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I'm with you Shady Tree. - The worst "bumping offs" are the slow long drawn out ones. Those that get choped shot or eatten are horrible, but death would be relatively quick. - I would even add Dominic "Lieutenant" Green to the list here evne though QOS drove me up the wall. - The fact he drunk the oil means he must have been in torment from thirst. Only to be shot! In fact, M telling us this after the fact adds to the horror. (I have a good imagination.)
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

I always found the expression on his face pretty funny though.
I also find it funny the way the geezer on Kristatos's ship that opens the cabin door gets immediately thumped overboard. The way it's edited and the noise he makes is really funny.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the astronaut in the PTS of YOLT, whose life line is sliced by the closing of the capsule. Granted, it's probably a quick death, but I've always thought the helplessness of the guy and his cry of "My life line! It's cu--" are downright chilling.
