What novel should be made into a film next?

Tell me what novel you think should be the next Bond movie?

I think that they should select a few Gardner/Benson novels and have a vote to decide which one toadapt as the next Bond.

I've mentioned several times that John Gardner's Nobody Lives Forever has a lot of potential to be adapted into a successful movie as it has some interesting characters, locations and situations.

In light of what's gone down in the last couple of films I could see using the novel as a starting off point to a storyline where Quantum puts a contract out on Bond's head to get him out of the way once and for all, even as they plot their biggest scheme yet.

Substitute Quantum for SPECTRE, Mr. White for Tamil Rahani, add in a worthy scheme on behalf the bad guys (the price on Bond's head should just be the McGuffin to lead us to a bigger Quantum plan) and you have the beginnings of a good movie and even a nice way to tie up any loose ends from the past couple of films.

I think Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist should be made in to a Bond film. I can see it now, Bond gives up his 00 status to become a shephard and ponders the meaning of life while searching for treasure...

what.. oh, I see... Bond novels

A faithful update of either Moonraker, Live and Let Die or Diamonds are Forever would be my choice. Under different titles naturally
1- On Her Majesty's Secret Service 2- Casino Royale 3- Licence To Kill 4- Goldeneye 5- From Russia With Love
