In a recent interview RM has said that although a fan of D Craig he much prefered CR to QOS because of all the flash-editing in it and I have to agree with the good knight.
I only know how Bond made that boat flip over by reading a members post of how it was done,I Looked at the sceen several times and still can't see the explanation on screen.I'll Have to Study the DVD when it arrives.;)
Or do any members feel the editing was great, and people like me and sir Roger are just out of step with modern cinematic techniques ?

I too am in agreement with Sir Roger.
The ridiculously fast editing of action sequences in QOS was the worst aspect of the film. Most of the time you had no idea what was going on, just a blur of movement.
I hope this is something that doesn't continue into Bond23.

I had a hard time with some of the quick cuts in QoS as well, though I preferred the movie's brisker pacing to CR, which seemed interminable to me at times. It's a tradeoff that I for one would gladly take.

I also have a feeling QoS will work much better when viewed on DVD at home. I've seen some clips from the home video on my LCD and everything is noticably brighter and easier to follow than what I saw in the theater. I've experienced the same thing with lots of other movies when viewed at home in a more controlled environment and I expect QoS to follow suit in that regard as well.

Yep - I agree. Although I do like the two DC films, I was spun out a bit by the speed and jerkiness of QOS (especially the rooftop chase). I was sitting quite close to the screen and have always thought that DVD will be better. I live in hope... (Not long now!!!!)

Casino R is my outright favorite Bond film. To me it had the right mix of everything, from the story, casting, costuming sets music etc.

QOS on the other hand, is the one film out of the entire series I'll deliberately skip when its shown on the telly. - I have never felt that way about any of the previous films. Simply because of that God awful editing! Hurt my eyes at the cinema, not risking it on a tv screen!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Editing in DAD was too frivolously slow. It has never been done again. Editing in QOS was too choppy. I doubt very much that will repeated either.

It sends me dizzy, especially when I've had a few sherberts, far far to quick and choppy.Hope it's not repeated again in the next film.
