The Strange Little Things That Make a Day More Interesting

Over the last few days I have had a couple of strange occurences that have revolved around a particular song - All Along The Watchtower
Incident #1
I was driving along listening to my iPod and as usual had it on shuffle, I decided to guess which artist would come on next. I guessed Bob Dylan and as I thought it the song All Along The Watchtower popped into my head. I skipped a track and what comes on? Bob Dylan, All Along The Watchtower.
I was pretty gobsmacked and had to check that I actaully had my iPod on shuffle (It was) and that the previous song hadn't preceded it alphabetically and then i'd pressed shuffle accidently (far fetched, but i was trying to find a logical explanation) the song before started with W.
I chalk it down to a quite amazing coincidence but it really did startle me as I have over 2000 songs on my iPod so the odds of guessing the artist, let alone the track are pretty slim.
Incident #2
Today, again listening to my iPod. Again All Along The Watchtower (Hendrix this time) as the song was finishing I was thinking it strange that I never hear the song on the radio considering how much of a classic it is and the station I listen to plays a lot of 60s songs.
After the song finished I flicked to the radio just as the presenter was announcing, you guessed it, All Along The Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix. Again I was absolutley flabbergasted.
Both incidents certainly made the days a bit more interesting and thought provoking for me.
Anyone with any similar strange coincidences or weird things, post your stories here.

I was visiting an some old family friends and the daughter (my age) and I were discussing films and actors we like. I ran through the usual suspects, Daniel Craig obviously (she didn't agree ) and then I mentioned an actor who I've always had a soft spot for, but couldn't remember the name of. Mentioned a couple of films he had been in, and she couldn't think of who I was talking of either.
Anyway, come home, and watched Jonathan Ross (which I has sky+ at the weekend ) and what do you know - the actor I was trying to think of - Jason Isaacs - was a guest on the show. Freaky!
Many of these types of coincidences happen to me, and I embrace them. Somehow, it brings me a sense of a bigger picture - and that is very comforting!
Did you watch the recent TV series Battlestar Galactica, by any chance? B-) It got great mileage out of that great song for two seasons...
I think we all have such things happen from time to time, and it does tend to make one sit up and take notice.
Here's one: a few short years ago, I was looking for a book to read, since my family was about to take a camping vacation (one of my favourite things to do is sit outside and read!)...
I went into a local Wal-Mart and browsed the titles, looking for something that struck my fancy. I picked up Band of Brothers, by Stephen Ambrose---the WWII book about Easy Company, from the U.S. Army's 101st Division---on which the masterpiece HBO miniseries is based. At this point the series hadn't come out yet...
Well, I went home, and in the midst of packing decided to call my brother (known here as Another Loeffelholz), and tell him I'd bought a new book. Guess what? That's right. He had purchased the same book that day, on a similar impulse and without any advance discussion from either of us.
I've always said that my brother and I are like twins, separated by 8 years...and this is a good example of that...

"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM

I didn't realise until well after the show had finished that it was All Along The Watchtower that was being used ;%
It was after I read that it was All Along The Watctower that these 2 things happened, it's all Battlestar's fault.
OH MY GODS I'M THE 13th!!
I agree these things really do make you take notice

When I was 12 or 13, I was riding in the car with my mom. I said to her, "I need to listen to some music," and turned on the radio. The song playing was "I Love Music" by The O'Jays. So, here's how the whole thing played out:
Me: "I need to listen to some music." [hits button]
Radio: "...ANY kind of muuuusic..."
My mom and I got a great laugh out of that.
