What about a big cargo freighter passing through the Panama Canal? It could be a mobile Quantum base of operations for one of their evil schemes and it could end with Bond crashing the ship into the side of one of the Canal's locks.

I had an idea for using the Panama Canal actually. The villian would destroy it and while re-construction was underway, he would bribe officials to use sub-standard equipment and millions of workers would die being exposed to a leathal virus via mosquitoes. Sort of a mirroring when the canal was first constructed.

The thing is though, Panama was used to double as Bolvia in QOS film. They usually never travel to the same place twice in a row.

Pertaining to the leader of Quantum and what his motivations are, I think he should be this real odd ball. He is completely disconnected with reality and views himself as sort of a God. He thinks the whole world is stupid and everyone in it is a pawns ready to be taken advantage of. His goal isn't financial motivation since he was born into money and great power. He simply wants to amuse himself by toying with the political structure of the world. So he created Quantum to appeal to the greed of business men and gets the satisfaction of the chaos that ensues.

Quantum could deceive its own operatives and puppets - to copy Alias and the From Russia With Love movie, Bond could cross paths with a female Quantum agent who was fooled into thinking she was recruited by a secret cell of a legitimate intelligence agency. We could also have a lawyer or business executive working in one of Quantum's front corporations who is similar to the Tom Cruise's yuppy from The Firm.

The next Bond film should be about a bank robbery, amixture of Goldfinger meets The Millennium Dome. And Charlie Brooks should be the villainess.

I think it needs to have a more classic feel to it.

I thought CR got the balance right, it was fresh and modern and took the franchise in a new direction but at the same time it was somewhat reminiscent of the earlier Bonds like Dr. No.

QoS completely lost this and the end product was almost unrecognisable as Bond.

Basically Id like to see a more parred back film, stylistically safer than QoS, a few more laughs (QoS was devoid of any light-hearted moments and I felt this hurt it) and for the director to keep in mind he's making a thriller. Bond has been re-invented in CR, leave it at that for a while, no need to keep re-inventing every film.

I'd also like to see less of Judi Dench, she'll never be a big enough part of the film to really learn anything important about the character and it just ends up distracting. M is essentially there for exposition and to play as a foil to Bond, leave it at that.

One more thing.....if you have Aston Martins screaming around Lake Como, Daniel Craig running across Italian rooftops, Bond being attacked by Henchman at a performance of Tosca or any other amazing things LET US SEE IT FOR GODS SAKE.....because I sure as hell saw none of this in QoS....so many wasted opportunities:(

Also (Ive been thinking about this ;)) Id like to see a bit of a glimpse of Bond in his non agent role.

Id love to see him having a round of golf or playing cards at his local club. Not too much, Bond should have a certain level of mystique, but its nice to be reminded that he is a real person and not some Q branch cyborg killing machine. :)

Also he should smoke like a battleship. If I was making it the only time Bond would be without a cigarette in his hands is when he is driving, holding a gun or fighting.....Im sure Sony would love that one. :))

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum but i've been a 007 fan for years. The Spy Who Loved me & The Living Daylights are my personal favourites.

I think that Daniel Craig and Eon have taken the franchise in a new and dynamic direction. It needed to move on as Die Another Day was not a great film. So when Casino Royale came out I was impressed. Daniel Craig has taken the rawness of Bond and plays it superbly. Quantum was a good follow up, a little devoid in parts but remember this is James Bond in the early days he is a blunt instrument, yet to refine himself into the form that we have seen him in for years. Craig is tapping into the Connery vindictive side of Bond and Daltons dark and moody side in playing Bond at this stage of his career in MI6.

As for Bond 23 well I had some ideas for a title, but the one that stands out is 'Firefly' named after Noal Cowards house. Which was situated not far from Ian Flemmings 'Goldeneye' home. He & Coward were great friends.

My idea would involve the Quantun orgnisation and locations in Italy, Austria, London, New York & Africa.

You probably won't believe me when I tell you that I thought about this after seeing Casino Royale in the Cinema, long before QOS was thought about. My idea for an opening seqence was Bond's Aston Martin being pursued through the Italian countryside by bad guys in Italian cars & by a Helicopter with the Aston getting a few battle scares on the way. So I was a little bit freaked out when I saw the opening sequences to Quantum of Solace.

Maybe I should have submitted the script for Quantum myself but titled 'Firefly' to EON a few years ago just after I saw Casino Royale. Oh well.:)

    Welcome sabrewolf -{

I like your choices for Dalton's and Moore's films, my two personal favourites for those two actors as well.

After Casino Royale I thought it would be a good idea to have the people Mr. White worked for penetrate MI6, especially M's personal security detail, so I was both chuffed to bits and totally bemused when I saw QOS and what Quantum were up to.

I don't really have "ideas" for the films plot, but my thoughts are thus:

    title: PROPERTY OF A LADY
    007: DANIEL CRAIG
girl: not fussed; preferably a blonde.... there hasn't been a main female blonde since TLD
villain: not fussed; preferably someone older who exudes power and menace... hasn't happened since MR

As for other characters. M could certainly be killed off, and I liked the idea of the "property" being hers, whatever happens to M, Dench has to exit after Bond23, she's really starting to grate
Felix, well, it's a ho-hum for me. He had to be in CR as he's central to 007 winning the card game, but I thought his role in QOS was immaterial.

For me the film needs to be about 110 minutes long, have a proper pre-title sequence of no more than seven minutes, song by a British artist please, four fist fights, one short chase, one long one, a big YOLT / TSWLM gun battle at the climax, three girls (one of whom is killed), a henchman, a climatic standoff between Bond and the villain, locations could be Madrid, Australia & South Africa

Of course it'll never come true.

I have around the net that several fans would like to see Quantum run by a group rather than make like SPECTRE and have a central figure controling everything. I think that this is a very fresh idea and as Quantum of Solace showed, the organization seems to be very group centered rather than having a chief to report to. I would imagine that Mr. White is part of this "inner circle" as he was important enough for Mitchell to expose himself to MI6 to aid in his escape.

I would personaly like to see Bond take on a bad guy who uses chemical weapons in dirty deeds, from the media they have gotten they are just serious as nuclear weapons in today's world.

I would get a new M. Dame Judy has overstayed her welcome and I would also bring back Moneypenny.

I would also move on from the QoS plot. That film killed it for me. Lets start afresh.

( ps. Can I replace Daniel Craig with Rupert Penry Jones? Then height doesn't become an issue any more ;) )

Many people feel that the villans in recent Bond movies have been too weak and their plans lacking in ambition. Here is an idea for a really horrible villan:
An evil leader of state who has a diabolical plan to offer public health insurance as an aternative to the private options. Finally a villan to rival Stromberg, Bloefeld and Goldfinger!
    :)) :))

This isn't an ideas, more of an idea killer. I hope the writers do not try to add some current social message to the film, we have had a little of that in the past and I don't like it. The water shortage in QoS was getting close. If they try to work some climate change message into the film I will walk out.

OK, maybe I won't walk out, but I won't be happy.

I too have similar misgivings. Not about climate change, but about the film referring to the (formerly) War on Terror. I don't want any explicit references, especially if Bond continues some of his unorthodox behaviour. There are things that Bond has done in the past, which I've accepted as the Bond films are set in an imaginary universe, but if Bond starts doing certain things in the name of fighting terrorism, I will be horrified. (Basically, I don't want to watch a two hour episode of 24. ;)) It's unlikely that this will happen of course, there's a bigger chance that climate change will be tackled, but I will not be happy if it does occur.

I totally disagree with all of you that wrote on this post that M should be killed. I think Dame Judi Dench is the best M, she has gave a lot of strenght to the role, being the onlyone who can directly confront 007. It´s a perfect balance against Bond´s overconfident actitude. Bond always ever did whatever he wanted with the other M´s, they lectured him but he never cared. With Judi´s perfomances, he is still defiant but respectfull.

I fully agree of not wanting another "Bond going-rogue" movie or even a quantum based one. In fact, bringing spectre back with another name is not a good idea for me.

And that for me is exactly why she should be killed. Craig's Bond with the shadows of Vesper and M in his mind. Mmmmm, interesting :D

but we dont want a rogue bond again, surely after M, his mother figure and boss is killed he'll want revenge :) it's getting to repetitive. all I need is a taboo story, no renegades, just a modern spy thriller, and their are a lorry full of original bond scenes from the novels that have not been used yet that are gold.

there's alot of potential here just hope they don't screw it up. not to say they screwed up quantum, which i did enjoy, [for the record]. :D

Yes, the DID screwed up quantum!!!! I haven´t been so disappoint with a bond film since AVTAK. As you said we would like a modern spy thriller, without vendettas, and with good director.

I like the idea of having something shocking in a Bond movie as the producers have hinted at for Bond 23. Could we see a repeat of Felix being attacked by a shark? I think it would of been nice if Beam was attacked by a shark instead.

I wouldn't mind having a sort of rescue story, since Barbara Broccoli said she wanted Camille to come back for Bond 23, how about she goes missing somewhere in Asia or Siberia and Bond has to find her, get her out without any backup, something a little like in Devil May Care when they are stranded in Russia without any identification or means.

How about calling 23 The Hildebrand Rarity and Hildebrand is some top boffin who Quantum kiddnap along with his daughter Rarity and Bond has to find and rescue them and when he does they are pursued by the baddies who seem to no Bonds every move so there is obviuosly a high ranking traitor in mi6.

I think Barbara Broccoli should run a parallel film series in which she can indulge her fantasies and have Jinx and Camille etc battle their way around the planet, and then we can get any thoughts of Bond women reappearing in future films completely out of the way. I for one wouldn't be watching, by the way...

And another thing - Bond should have banged Camille. Why the hell not? If Greene could, surely Bond would have had a chance?
Not only should he have banged her, he should have used her later on as a human sheild.
That's what I want to see. Less of the Tom Ford collection, everyday Omega watches and Ford concept vehicles, and chasing Quantum around to avenge past loves. More of stripping down his Walther and cleaning it in preparation of tomorrow's assassination, whilst downing a bottle of vodka and being fully prepared to use his next lay as a human sheild, and lose no sleep over it. Time to toughen Bond up in line with Craig's superb weapon handling and physical abilities.
