Hey guys I wanted your opinion in what the best bond movie for each era. here are mine:

GL - OHMSS, is an excellent film.
RM - TMWTGG, quilty pleasure, I enjoyed it.
TD - LTK, a lot to like, Carey Lowell helps.
PB - TWINE, but GE is close.
DC - Do I have to pick one? just kidding, CR
GL: not much of a selection; guess I'll have to go with OHMSS. Seriously though, a great film and not at all marred by Lazenby's performance, which was unusually strong considering his lack of experience.
RM: TSWLM; probably my favorite Bond film overall and the ultimate rendition of the classic cinematic Bond formula. Great gadgets, hot Bond girls, excellent locations and a suitably world threatening plot.
TD: LTK; both his films had issues but this one has improved over time for me as the individual elements are stronger than what we got in TLD.
PB: GE; his first outing was always his best in my opinion. A good balance of action, humor, a plot worthy of Bond, and one of Brosnan's better leading ladies.
DC: QoS; a far tighter, more well paced and engaging entry given my personal tastes. It feels more like a Bond movie than CR and the characters are all far more interesting to me.
GL - OHMSS duh!
RM - The Spy Who Loved Me
TD - The Living Daylights
PB - Tomorrow Never Dies
DC - Quantum Of Solace
GL - OHMSS, the best Bond film ever.
RM - TSWLM, which always feels like "Bond's Greatest Hits" to me, which is why I love it.
TD - TLD, which for me gets better every time I watch it, while LTK gets worse.
PB - TWINE by a mile, despite it's convoluted plot, odd emotional tone, and Denise Richards.
DC - CR, again by a mile.
GL- OHMSS I wish that Lazenby had done more but this is my absolute favorite Bond entry in the franchise.
RM- OP Just entertaining fun and the one film that Roger Moore should've stepped down from the role on a high note and saved us from the torment of watching him creak by in AVTAK.
TD- LTK I like TLD but this one was more engrossing in a Lethal Weapon/ A Fistful Of Dollars kind of way. I hate that Dalton didn't do at least one more.
PB - GE I love Pierce but out of the four that he did, this one holds as his most balanced adventure. And after that hiatus I was glad to see Bond again. B-)
DC - CR Taking in my misgivings for the choice of actor to take up the mantle, the film was very good. Section Chief Dreiden was more of a villian that Le Chiffre was. I just never got a sense of menace from Mads.
I've always enjoyed the pre-teaser to CR.

GL) OHMSS is a wonderful, exotic, intelligent, and classy motion picture.
RM) TSWLM is pure undiluted cinematic ecstasy.
TD) This is a tough call, both are terrific and I'm a Dalton admirer through and through, the first hour of TLD is cinematic Fleming brilliance, yet LTK has an odd sort of affect on me. Like Barry, I can't get enough of Cary.
PB) GE is freakin' great and really flows. The old school villains are wonderful and I always enjoy watching Pierce do his thing.
DC) I like CR better, the animated retro PTS and title theme are brilliant. As is the poisoning sequence. Could do without all the crane action. Texting M his resignation doesn't sit well with me either.

RM- TSWLM my favorite Bond film, it has everything a Bond movie should have- ski scene, chase scenes, hot russian women, and an evil madman in an exotic lair
TD- LTK I think the action scenes were pretty well done and the girls weren't bad
PB- Brought the series back with a bang. Good villains, good plot, and the N64 game that we all spent hours and hours playing
DC- CS by far...an amazing film..a different take on the James Bond we have all come to know. Great movie.

Lazenby: OHMSS - quite simply THE best Bond film...and Lazenby does a fine job...Diana Rigg is sensational ! Best film score too.
Moore: TSWLM - as said above...a sort of Bond Greatest Hits.
Dalton: Difficult to pick a winner as both are very strong Bond films with Dalton giving great performances in both...TLD has the better soundtrack but LTK has Carey Lowell ! Possibly TLD just shades it...today
Brosnan: Good parts to all his films...none really sustain right through...TWINE for me though.
Craig: Turning out to be the best Bond so far...not much to chose between his two films...both are very high calibre...Eva Green is beautiful and a great actress...so CR it is then -{
Lazenby - errr.. OHMSS stunning film, no two ways about it.
Moore - TSWLM- brilliant on every level
Dalton - Licence to Kill - just because I like it morre than TLD.
Brozza - TND - the best PB film by far
DC - at the risk of contradicting myself here, I'll say Quantum of Solace. I think Casino Royale is the better film but QoS is just so cool and wonderful, it is,by a margin, my favourite.
Best and Favourite are definately two different things

GL- OHMSS: Although flawed, still one of the most gorgeous of all Bond films, with perhaps the greatest ending.
RM- TSWLM The greatest non-Connery Bond film of all time.
TD- LTK although I don't like Dalton, I didn't mind this film. The concept is terrific, as are Sanchez and the killing of Sanchez. Although one of my six or so least favourite Bond films, I don't think this is such a bad film.
PB - GE the best Bond film since TSWLM. I love TWINE as well, and I also enjoy TND, but this is Brosnan's most consistent and greatest film.
DC - CR Any film would be better than QOS.

Moore: FYEO Yes RM finally gets his hands dirty and is believable as Bond

George Lazenby: On Her Majesty's Secret Service - another example, my third favorite Bond film of all time. I didn't think George Lazenby did a bad job in terms of his performance, but I didn't agree with his take on Bond. However, I would have been willing to see him do another. To me, its a shame that they did not use the crying take for the final scene, which I thought was much more effective, but Bond needs to be a man, and men need not cry in films... At least some people think....
Roger Moore: For Your Eyes Only - being a 1980s film lover, I thought this was a good introduction for Bond into the 1980s. Also, I was very happy to see them going for a simpler, less special effects based (although they did use special effects in the film - though not the same kind), and darker film after 1979's Moonraker. Although I believe Roger Moore looked to old by this point (which bothers me, as I know some people don't mind), I really enjoyed his performance in this one. I will also mention that I enjoyed the music....
Timothy Dalton: License to Kill - when I saw both his films for the first time, I liked them both. Originally I enjoyed The Living Daylights more, but having watched License to Kill more now, I think there is more to like about it. Although I thought his first did have the cutest little Bond girl I'd ever seen (who I also thought was better than the girl in his second), I felt the story for License to Kill was more interesting. Also, the filmmakers went back and used an idea that came from the novel's, really early on in the novels as well, which made me happy about it. I know there are many people who complain about Daniel Craig getting beaten up and dirty at the end of Quantum of Solace, and saying things about how no other Bond ever got like that. They all looked good, no matter how hard it got, and I always tell them, look at Bond by the end of License to Kill. I think he looked worse in this one than Craig in Quantum.
Pierce Brosnan: Goldeneye - the only film he did that doesn't bother me. Well, that's not true. The archives scene bothers me, but the rest of the movie does not. This was one that really confronted the idea of Bond being out of date. Having his new boss considering him to be a relic. I pick this one, because it was better than his other three. I may have said The World is not Enough, but I am a movie fan, and I want to get into the filmmaking industry. When watching The World is not Enough, I saw so many continuity errors, editing mistakes, unusual cuts that it completely took me out of the movie, and I noticed these things when I was 11 years old. Die Another Day and Tomorrow Never Dies, really I just can't stand. Other than Elliot Carver in the first, there was nothing I liked about it. Then in Die Another Day, the use of special effects, and Pierce Brosnan acting and appearance (which I never really liked either anyway). It was an example of what many people who think negatively on Bond film (that I know anyway), like to use as their reason to dislike Bond movies. They're just silly cartoons to provide cheap entertainment. I try to tell them, no, watch From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Casino Royale. You'll see that they can be great movies.
Daniel Craig: Casino Royale - epically amazing. I have never felt a Bond film that reminded me more of my favorite era of James Bond, the 1960s, then this movie. I had never seen Daniel Craig in a film before this movie, and I actually was part of the group that was outraged of his casting. Not so much of his facial appearance, because I certainly don't think he looks ugly (in fact, he's my second best looking James Bond of all - after Connery). He reminded me of a 1950s tough guy. Also, I thought his appearance seemd a lot like the John McLusky Bond. Anyway, I thought Craig was amazing, and I thought this film did a fantastic job of translating the novel to the screen, while making it work in a modern era. One thing that I was disappointed about was that they didn't play with the idea of 'playing red indians,' in the movie, like they did in the novel, also, I think they made Le Chiffre be more a typical villain in the film, rather than a man who was victimized by the world around him. However, the performances are great, the tone is perfect, and this is the most excited I had ever been coming out of a Bond movie, and not because of the action scenes either. I hope the next one will be more like this, and less like Quantum. Not saying that I hated Quantum, but I felt it was a step in the wrong direction, and no, Casino wasn't like Quantum at all....
