James Bond loves good food, and...since this a Bond fan site...and I love to eat... B-)
I thought it might be interesting to have a culinary thread. What are you eating right now, or later today, or what did you eat just a while ago?
I'm very fortunate, inasmuch as Mrs. Loeffelholz is a wonderfully accomplished cook, who seems determined to assure that I don't depart this world in an 'underweight state'
Tonight it was Asian stir-fry. Over white rice (spiced up with some soy sauce) is served beef and crab meat, bean sprouts, snap-peas, carrots, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and bok-choi in a Szechuan sauce. With vegetable egg-rolls and sweet & sour sauce on the side. Beverage: domestic American beer (Natural Light, by Anheuser-Busch*)
I've been instructed to say that we've got plenty for everyone, if you're in the neighborhood!
* My concession to tough economic times...and my own bourgeois tastes!

You need:
Pasta (any type should do, I prefer Barilla Thick Spaghetti )
About 4 to 6 cloves of minced (or chopped)Garlic (I've used 8 to 12)
1/4 Cup of Parsley (dried also works, use less than a 1/4 cup)
1/8 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
1/2 Cup Of Water
2 Tablespoon Of olive oil
1 Can 16 oz Can Of Chicken Broth (any brand will do)
Start heating your pasta water now. Turn burner to high so it comes to a boil quick.
Open your can of broth and put in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of water and two tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix throughly.
Heat your frying pan and add the 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot add the Garlic, Parsley and Cayenne Pepper. Cook for 20 t0 30 Seconds then add shrimp. Cook shrimp until Pink. Once the shrimp is cooked get your broth and mix throughly again. Add broth to hot frying pan and begin to stir broth and shrimp. By this time your pasta water should be boiling. Add pasta to boiling water. The pasta should be cooked by the time the broth thickens. Drain pasta and add to the frying pan. Mix for about two minutes then serve.
Mmmmmm, Mmmmmmmm, good. I hope I haven't forgotten anything. i did that from memory.

However I am cooking chicken now (Roasted, to have cold with boiled new potatoes and salad for later, while watching BGT) and probably some wine, to help with my headache
As it was the BGT final is was pizza courtesy of Pizza Hut tonight, washed down with some wine and 'half baked' Ben and Jerry's
When I put my mind to it though, apparently I make a mean Shepherds Pie and I'm not too shabby with a roast dinner either ....
Tonight he did a BBQ.
Hot Dogs to start - proper sausages! not those awful tinned things....
sardines - the first time i have ever tried them and was not impressed. started off well but far too many small bones that i wasnt keen on, even after being repeatedly told "You can eat them!"
sweetcorn - on the stick variety
chicken and red/green peppers -done on skewers and dipped in mayo
mini roasted potatoes with butter - yum!
cucumber
big tomato - a rare as i usually prefer the mini ones
lamb chop - another first and something i am keen to have again!
beef burger - no onions or sauce - no nothing! i decided considering how much else i had had id better try and be a tad more healthy...
... but that was chucked clean out the window when i later had 2 Roses chocolottes )
Sounds lovely!
Tonight it's a lettuce (iceberg) salad for starters, with croutons and French dressing. Then a ribeye beef steak, cooked outdoors on the grill (cooked 'medium'), plus sweet corn on-the-cob, with butter...

BBQ'ed german sausages and beer tonight as the weather is brilliant!
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
As it was a very warm day I had made a Greek salad with cucmber, tomatoes, onions, green olives, fetta goat cheese and pesto. For meat we had delicious mergez sausages.
With that I served rice with raisins, butter, pepper and sugar.
We usually split the cooking based on who has the busiest day. Tonight however we are eating out, as it's my mother-in-law's birthday.

After seeing Terminator: Salvation today, my brother and I went to one of our favorite restaurants for an early dinner and got one of our favorite combos: a surf & turf of chicken breast teriyaki and lobster pie, with a side of spinach rice pilaf and a couple of strawberry margaritas to top if all off. All in all, not a bad way to end the weekend.
Lunch was nothing special.
For dinner I Bar-B-Q'd marinated diezmillo para abar (sirloin steak) with green peppers, serviced with Monterey Jack cheese. Rice, beans, homemade salsa, and corn tortillas. A hefty protion of sour cream, guacamole, and fresh limes! Cold coke for the beverage.
Now that is my kind of BBQ - and it sucks that I now live in a flat (apartment) with no outside - so no BBQ (Probably one of the only things my ex was good at ) )
hey, Lexi, you are always welcome for a bbq on our wooden sun deck here

Aww, thanks for that. You never know, I might just take you up on that offer

It's frozen pizza---but good! Supreme---sausage, pepperoni, onion and green pepper---baked at precisely 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes. Delicious B-)

Plate one - Tossed Salad with tomatoes, onions, cheese with ranch dressing. A corn and peas mixture as well as a sea food combo - Shrimp and crab.
Plate two - Chinese Stir-Fried Noodles with a large amount of Huy Fong Chili Sauce, Coconut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and wanton's.
Plate three - Crab legs with hot melted butter....
I am now going to pass out!
At the Loeffelholz residence, tonight featured another long-standing tradition: "Clean out the refrigerator" night! Leftover BBQ pork ribs, with hash brown potatoes and corn-on-the-cob. Yum yum!

A bit of a mistake.
Also trying out the Cabbage Soup Diet.
This is also possibly a mistake...
