    I love a good Chinese buffet... B-)

Tonight it's grilled pork steak, served with a sauce only Mrs. Loeffelholz can make...and a stir-fried saute of eggplant, zucchini, green pepper, mushrooms, red pepper flakes and garlic...washed down with a lovely cheap domestic beer :D

Slow-roasted shoulder of lamb, garden peas and carrots, and roast potatoes cooked in goosefat, and a nice onion and mint gravy, with mint jelly on the side.

we had home-made Wantan tonight. As it took very long to make them (for my wife) and I have been very hungry, I barbequed 2 good german sausages as a starter ;%

A welcome day off from work. Mrs. Loeffelholz and I had lunch at Red Lobster today :) I had snow crab legs for an appetizer, then their 'Endless Shrimp' special: Cajun shrimp, shrimp scampi, fried shrimp (all you can eat) on a bed of rice pilaf...served with a top-shelf frozen margarita...

    I need a nap...

I'm starting to worry about you, Pen!

For me, tonight it's grilled chicken breast, marinated in a blend of hoisin and teriyaki sauces...along with Asian-style stir-fried vegetables (broccoli, onion, carrots, celery and bean sprouts) served with a healthy dash of soy sauce over steamed rice, and a vegetable eggroll with sweet/sour sauce on the side...

Poor Pen. So much for the "Freshman 10". I remember my first year in the dorms, I hated the cafeteria food too..the salad bar was the only thing that didn't gross me out! I lost 20 pounds that first year unintentionally..so be careful!! Do they have a decent salad bar? Do you have a fridge in your room?

Pizza. From my favorite Italian restaurant. Perfect crust, perfect sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sunday, so traditional English roast. Roasted sirloin of beef, Yorkshire puddings, gravy, carrots, peas and roasted potatoes. Plenty of creamed horseradish to go with it. If there's room for dessert, blackberry & apple pie with custard.

Then an indegestion tablet or two...

Wife had a false alarm - we thought she was in labour today. Got sent home from the hospital late, so called for an Indian. Tikka masala, korma, tandori, pilau rice, poppadoms, onion bajis and samosas. If that little lot doesn't bring on labour in the early hours, I don't know what will...

Panini grill tonight <3 I'm so excited. takes AGES for the sandwich to be done (long line, one grill), but is SO worth it in the end. At least one of the dining halls here has a brain. :D

something frozen. I'm going home for the weekend, and mom says that our stove got recalled (after having it for like, 10 years) so we can't cook...microwave dinners ahoy!

aw this thread is making me very hungry.
tonight it's a Tesco's pizza with extra pineapple, chorizo, jalapenos, stuffed green olives, applewood cheese and chunky chicken tikka. And a massive pile of home-made crunchy salad. With jalapenos. And raisins. All washed down with liberal lashings of Nelson Mandela.
And I will enjoy that meal much more than anything described in Fleming's books!
