Mrs. Loeffelholz made homemade chili---medium heat, heavenly flavour. Might mean an antacid at bedtime ...but so good...

Brought some spanakopita back from mom's house. The perfect after-work late-night breakfast. Or brunch early-afternoon dinner. Or ... :x
I :x spanakopita - used to make it for the restaraunt I worked in - and it always sold out in record time. Note to Self: Shopping list for tomorrow, spinach, filo, feta.......
I managed to pick up some rainbow trout fillets on special today - so I made a homemade fresh tomato sauce (with cherry tomatoes that were also on special) with fresh Thyme - and angel hair pasta - delicious

Tesco is doing salmon fillets for £4 for two, so £1 each. I have this with Florette salad, sunflower seeds, and a large glass of rose, JP Chenet or something, a small bottle you get for £1.70 from Tesco too. Then I pop in a DVD.
Not quite sure what I'm eating yet..... but I've made myself a rather large Bloody Mary, with celery, Worcestershire and tobasco - like the name suggests, bloody lovely

frakking POTATO SMILES. haven't had them since I was like...five. :x
What are Potato Smiles?
The luxury’s of having a 4 year old - you can buy potato smiles!
They are a type of potato chip - you cook them in the oven, and they are round with a smiley face cut out of the potato - they are crispy on the outside and soft and potatoey on the inside - I always cook extra when I give them to Oliver for his tea, because I always have a couple myself

Thanks. I've never heard of those before. Of course I don't have a four year old either. They sound good though.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope
Well if Sainsburys has a BOGOF offer, I might just do that. My five year old loves smiley faces, so a trip there tomorrow is inevitable.
okay, cute photo - but is that a swiss army knife I see
I didn't realise that there was a Bond Girl barbie )

It's a plastic one and she has invented new girly ways of using it. She likes outdoorsy stuff and animals. Although, you should see her shoot, we had pigeon that night :v
Last night was a busy one, so there was no time for cooking. We bought an item which is often found in takeaways in these parts, but I'm not sure would be be familiar (or even welcome!) elsewhere- a Munchy Box.
This is a pizza box filled with chips, veg pakora, chicken pakora, onion rings, donner kebab meat, chicken tikka, and a token amount of salad. Served with pitta bread and a can of Irn-Bru. Exact ingredients vary by establishment; costs about £5.
Not a healthy option (British understatement is alive and well), but very popular in these parts; beloved by Son Of Barbel, frowned on by Bride Of Barbel.

Sounds so good. Too bad no place around here has something like this. At least I don't think anyone does. Might have to do some searching.

If I can find them in my area I'll try them. Honestly, I've never seen them in the frozen potato section.
