Very sad news indeed - the Bond community will definitely be in mourning.

I think I'll watch TSWLM in his honour.

RIP Richard , a sad day for the Bond community. Sad to think we were only
Listening to him talk about his life on the radio on Sunday.

Today is September the 11th,a very dark day in the history of the world, not just for the U.S.A. but for all of mankind.
We must remember all the brave NYPD and FDNY guys who lost their lives . Nor must we forget all the innocent people in the twin towers who perished .

Visited ground zero last year when I was over in NYC getting married. Visited the new 1 worldtrade centre place the building a spectacular tribute. I found New Yorkers to be the warmest and friendliest I have ever met. I could not believe they have a reputation for being anything other than. Left my heart in NYC incredible city love to all those friends and families today. :x

I've got a few of these 'Where were you on' Stories to share

Death of Diana - I was staying around my Nans House and the News came on that Diana had been killed.

9/11 - I was coming Home from Junior School and my Mum told me that a Plane had gone into the WTC. Being young at the Time, I thought she was joking and I was more interested in what CBBC was going to Broadcast that Afternoon.

Boxing Day Tsunami - This was just before New Years Eve 2004 and I was more interested in playing Tomb Raider on the Nokia N-Gage (Remember that?)

7/7 - I was sitting in my Form Room in Secondary School discussing this with my Mates about who could be behind it. At first we thought it was the French due to us getting the Olympics over them.

Micheal Jackson Death - I was at a Mates Party and rather Drunk around 11 at Night when BBC News came up with the Headlines about his Death. I remember that all of us stopped what we were doing and just stood there in Silence watching the News.

I remember being in a Pharmaceutical Company on 9/11 and every time the news came on all the machines were
switched off, so we could all listen to it.

Wasn't sure I was ever going to make it back here, but Richard Kiel's passing made it a no-brainer. The Spy Who Loved Me was the first Bond film I ever watched -- and I watched it probably ten times before I saw a second one. Although I later learned that the template for Jaws had been set earlier by the likes of Oddjob, Richard Kiel's villain was a huge reason (pun intended) I enjoyed TSWLM so much that Bond fandom became a major part of my life.

    RIP -{

The news has just been announced of the death of Baron Bannside ( The Rev, Dr Ian Paisley ) Many will
have different viws on him, But He was a giant of Ulster politics. My thoughts are with his Family.

Sad news indeed. "Big Ian" was certainly a giant in Ulster politics and although it is true that he divides opinion and is in some ways a deeply polarising figure in Northern Ireland politics akin to PM Margaret Thatcher on the mainland he is still a political titan.

I may have had more moderate unionist views (UUP) but I still regard him as the peacemaker who delivered a better settlement than bombs and guns could offer the people of Northern Ireland. I too extend my condolences to his wife and family at this difficult time.

Indeed - he got the IRA to decommission before taking their seats in Stormont and for that the peace-loving citizens of Northern Ireland are eternally grateful.

Saddened to hear of the senseless killing of the aid worker by IS. David Haines.
They regard journalists and aid workers as targets. So they're against
The reporting of the truth and the helping of those in need.

James Foley, the first journalist killed last month, attended my university 20 something years ago. There was a lovely ceremony held on campus for him. It's a shame this is what parts of the world have come to.

Condolences to all the friends and family involved with all of these tragedies.
