On the heels of Bobby Keys' death, yet another rocker (and sometime Stones sideman) is gone. Ian McLagan, who rose to fame with the Small Faces, has passed away. RIP.

i'm lucky enough to have a signed copy of his book, a great read.

although i never met des, his passing is something that saddens me greatly. a true 'part of the furniture' as it were of the bond empire.

Yes, very sad news that was back in 1999. Desmond was a great ambassador for Bond and he always had time for the fans.

I thought Moore's book came out about 10 years after Desmond's sad passing?

Very sad, especially given that he was driving back from a book signing at the time...and ironic- I'll always remember the quote at the time about him continuing as Q "as long as the producers wanted him and the almighty didn't"...RIP

Maybe it wasn't at the RM event but it was at another Bond-related screening at the BFI. Sadly the old grey cells won't let me remember which... :#

Sad news for Bond fans. Dutch article states that Richard Graydon has passed away at 92. Graydon was primarily known as stunt double to Sean Connery, George Lazenby, and Roger Moore in ten Bond films.

Sad news indeed. Brilliant stuntman on many Bonds. In Moonraker
He hung from the cable car without a safety cable.
    RIP Richard Graydon.
