    Posting that Simpson's clip reminded me of the full episode. He sang Good Morning Starshine and he had a great singing voice.

    My first memory of Star Trek is from approx 1970, I was hooked straight away and have been a fan of the series and Leonard Nimoy ever since. For me, no other version of Star Trek has come close to the original. A large part of that is due to Nimoy's superb portrayal of Spock. R.I.P. -{

    Leonard Nimoy's final tweet was touching and profound.

    "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP"

    I think you know what LLAP stands for.

    I knew this moment was coming since the announcement of Mr Nimoys health late last year. But I am still numb at the news. One of the key strengths of Mr Nimoy was not his acting or directing skills, it was his sharp intilectual yet warm sense of humour. This comes across in his audio cameos in The Big Bang Theory, and the interaction he had with Bill Shatner and the late De Kelley in character and out of role, as well as his fans.

    There are times I am disappointed or upset when I look at this thread, this time I am at a loss. I can't begin to express my sorrow for Mr Nimoys family and friends and only hope that people will continue to learn from the legacy he has left with the happy memories and good humour he provided to so many. IDIC? Oh yes, he made that a reality for so many. Myself included.

    LLAP and RIP Mr Nimoy. -{

    Leonard Nimoy was part of growing up as Star Trek was on daily here. He was virtually my older brother.

    +1, I remember my Dad coming him with our first colour TV (around 1970 too I guess) and watching Star Trek for the first time in colour, amazed by the bright colours of the uniforms.

    RIP Leonard Nimoy, a gifted and unforgettable man. -{

    I was bored the other day :D , and it crossed my mind to look up "the lads " from the old section ,to see what they are doing ,one of the boys,is now a chief super, always new he was going to go far ,but ,then read that Peter ,a DS on a sex crime squad, had a heart
    attack ,and it killed him , he was only 43, Now Pete was a big lad ,well we all was :) ,but to read he died at such a young age was very difficult to read. We all have lost contact over the years ,I suppose the same old excuse too busy , job is too demanding ,ect ect
    so a message to all you young guys out there ,we was young once ,and expected to live forever , but Mr Death is always a few steps behind RIP Peter we will miss you .
    By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

    It's shocking, and apparently if a pilot leaves the cockpit, another member of
    The flight crew is supposed to sit in the cockpit until he returns, so that there's
    Always two up front. Just in case the other pilot has a heart attack or something.
    So there must have been a major failure in procedures. :#

    And utter insanity. Such a tragedy for the innocent victims and their families.
