Sad to hear of Powers Boothe passing. SO many great movies over a LONG career. He was a native Texan - I always thought he would have been a great Felix Leiter!
What's very weird in this digital age is his tweet from 20 hrs ago is still just up there, he sounded happy to be in detroit ahead of a soundgarten gig, and now he's dead by suicide it seems.

It seems contradictory, but people often seem happy and upbeat prior to committing suicide. They believe their problems will soon be over. People who are in the deepest pits of depression are less likely to kill themselves because they are too lethargic to make a decision and take action. It's as they come out of depression that they get enough energy to take their own lives. In fact, many anti-depressants come with warnings about increased risk of suicide.
Sorry if I strayed a bit from the main topic, but I lost my best friend to suicide and have a close family member who battles depression, so this is sort of a big issue for me. Incidentally, the last time I saw my friend before he killed himself he seemed very happy and positive. Two weeks later he was dead.

I agree 100%. One of the very best themes. RIP Chris Cornell.

Very sad to hear of Chris Cornell's death, especially the tragic circumstances surrounding it. I loved his Bond song. It remains my favourite Bond song of the Craig Bond era in fact.

Shocked to hear about the terror attack in Manchester. Our thoughts are with our brothers and sisters in the UK.

This is horrific.
I hate this thread, I really do. Every time its at the top of the forum, at best, someone has retired. Usually someone famous, often much loved has died. And then there is the unspeakable horror of this.
Once again here we are where innocent people including children, - children!! Have been targetted by some sadistic psycho. My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this atrocity.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
The fact that children and teenagers have been specifically targeted is appalling. This is the kind of thing which leads to reprisals in the community. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. My thoughts are with the victims and their families too.
Another sickening attack , perhaps it's time that if your actions bring you to the Intrests of the Police
and intelligence services you should face imprisonment or deportation. It's also disgusting to learn
That there are tweets and messages of support on Facebook etc for the attacker. Facebook know
Who these are and should, give that information to the authorities. If not Tax the hell out of them or
Charge them as supporters of terrorism .
My thoughts and condolences to all the families involved.

I also liked him in Tales of the Unexpected episode 'Fat Chance' as Dr Applegate.
Looking at him, he'd also have been a perfect Doctor Who and it's interesting to read that he turned that very role down twice!
I've just watched CR yesterday and enjoyed YKMN

*Pending autopsy. RIP, Chris.
It's being investigated as a possible suicide according to the BBC.
