OK, so I am going to read like some sort of old perv or something, but.....
I understand Sylvia Kristel tested for a Bond movie in the '70s (TSWLM I think)
I think she would have been fantastic; good looking, sexy accent, quite well known, etc although I can imagine Cubby thinking "whoooaaaa booooyyyyyyy Emmanuelle???????"
I think they missed a trick not thinking of her for OP, after all her soft porn days were pretty much behind her by then (pardon the pun) and I can't imagine she would have done a worse job that Maud Adams. She would certainly have been better looking (no offence, maud, honest!)

She starred in Emmanuelle, amongst others, to be fair I can't think of much else she did, but most of it was soft core porn, very mild by todays standards. Hardyboy is quite right in his assessment of her beauty, and I also agree with MI6 in his assessment of her OP potential. I think she has a page on Wikipedia

I always have had a soft spot for Mia Nygren. I can't tell her acting skills, but from the pics, that I have seen as a teenager, I would say, that she would have been a fabulous alternative to Maud Adams.

Regarding Barbara Bach in TSWLM: Perfect choice imho, nobody does it better!

I've just had a look at her wikipedia page. Based on the tiny picture they show of her in her younger years, she seems quite attractive. I've never seen Emmanuelle, though I've heard of it (porn of any variety, be it hard or soft-core, strikes me as rather boring, once the particulars---so to speak---have been established ;% ).

Her story seems, at first blush, to be a rather sad one of missed opportunities and 'also-ran' status. Still, she's obviously something of a cult figure, so good for her, I guess!

Why not update the idea and cast a porn star in a minor role in a Bond film? Bond started out with provocative fwemale characters: a bikini-clad woman who tells Bond of the time she killed her rapist using a scorpion, a lesbian flying circus led by a woman called Pussy Galore, Bond "reading" Playboy in OHMSS, porn-like names in general....
The novels has among other things 007 reading SM-porn in TLD.

I haven't seen any of their movies (honest!, but I sometimes buy FHM) but Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick or Dita von Teese (not really a porn star, but a burlesque dancer) could be used. They don't look like freaks (breast bigger than their heads, duck-like lips, obviously fake blond hair etc), but are in fact quite attractive. I doubt they have the acting skills to be a leading lady, but they could perhaps pull off being the girlfriend of the villan or play a ONS for Bond? Perhaps just a blink-and-you miss-it scene like the supermodel Adriana Lima in CR?
