TSWLM vs. MR - which would be your pick?

If you love both movies, but could only pick one to go in your collection - just one, mind you :) - which would you choose?

A couple of years ago I would have gone with TSWLM, but after recent viewings I find its dated somewhat. I find MR rather more fun to watch in comparison. Here's my reasons why:

-Nice dry dialogue courtesy of Christopher Wood: "Look after Mr. Bond. See that some harm comes to him." :v

-Not just one beautiful Bond Girl, but a virtual galaxy of them (pardon the pun). :D

-Eye-catching location filming, in one of the most globe-trotting Bond films ever

-Chang sabotaging the centrifuge trainer :v

-The cable car fight with Jaws -{

-All of the final act in outer space; cool B-)

-Bond and Goodhead getting it on in space :007)

So which of the 2 films from Moore, Kiel, Cubby, Gilbert and co. would you choose?
"Well, he certainly left with his tails between his legs."

    The Spy Who Loved Me. A rip-roaring ride and the benchmark for family adventure. Beautiful locale, excellent score, iconic PTS, a plethora of American and British uber babes, (Bach, Munro, Leon, etc), and one of Sir Rog's finest performances.

    Took to it's charms like a duck does to water.

    TSWLM for one reason and,that reason is......it was the first bond I saw at the flicks,after a few adventures on T.V. with him,I was finally old enough to see one at the pictures,and it was great fun......Ah 77,wounderful times(sound of retro music filling my ears as I remember hot long days and utd winning the cup),anyway nuff of that,back to reality.
    Defo the spy who loved me,but MR also has it's good points.
    Sorry for rambling abit.:(|):))-{

    Like zig zag,TSWLM was my fist time seeing Bond on the Big screen,so of the two TSWLM WINS.

    TSWLM, being only the first remake of YOLT, would be my choice---MR, the second remake of YOLT, is a fair amount of fun...but Spy is Moore-Style Bond at the absolute zenith of his form.

    No question, TSWLM. Superior film in every way. MR is just TSWLM set in space...a place Bond should never be!

    I agree Loeffelholz TSWLM was the first remake of YOLT which in it'self was a remake of Dr No,Mad Scientist on island messing with rockets. :))

    MR is a warmer experience for me and I prefer it, guilty pleasure. But Spy is more iconic really, it has the Lotus and that ski jump.

    Moonraker for a variety of reasons, paramount among them is the score. If Barry had scored TSWLM and had Bach and Munroe switched roles....well then we'd be onto something.

    I would pick Moonraker because I have a special liking for science-fiction outer space type adventures and I also love the theme song performed by Shirley Bassey.
    Roger Moore is my favourite 007 R.I.P.

    I'd rather stub my Toe repeatedly than watch either of them, but if forced to choose TSWLM by a mile.

    Easy, TSWLM for me. A fresh change in the series, Rog is on form and a welcome change in music direction - Mozart etc....
    Moonraker has good elements but the cable car sequence for example is crap. It's so unconvincing. Jaws is reduced to a comedy character. The special effects for Jaws jumping from one cable car to another are shockingly bad.
    In TSWLM I find Jaws genuinely terrifying.
    Oh yes and I was born in 1977 :D

    They really share many qualities, but TSWLM just has much more strength and charm. And the Lotus, Asgard jump, XXX, Jaws without dialogue, interesting score, and the list goes on. Sir Roger does get under 007's skin finally, but MR just really has too much corniness. (Double-taking pigeon!)
    MR does feel very tired in spots.
