'Kamal Khan' turns 90

Louis Jourdan, actor of Kamal Khan in Octopussy was born on 19 June 1919. On this day I would like to discuss one of my more favorite bond villans, and perhaps the best of his lines:

"Good, let him keep going! He'll be late, and we'll be rid of him, too!"

    Happy Birthday, Louis,

Wow, 90, I could not imagine. I am not one of these RM bashers, but to my opinion, Louis looks a bit younger than Roger in Octopussy.

Yeah it seems that Roger Moore may have aged at an accelerated rate during his tenure as James Bond simply due to all the work he had to do and everything for each film. It's kind of like the presidents of the United States aging faster than normal during their time in office.

I also think that Khan was one of the more strict Bond villains, going as far as to even make his assistant go out onto the airplane in mid-air to dispatch Bond. Of course, Bond threw him off to his death.

Stepping off the set to make room for the stand-in? :)) I think he looked just fine for his age...it's just that he stopped being the right age to be Bond after about three films :# Some actors are better suited to project physicality than others; that's all...and some (like Harrison Ford, for instance) can 'sell it' for far longer than the norm.

Happy Birthday to Louis Jourdan! {[] He was an excellent Count Dracula B-)

I think that Moore looked just fine in OP. :v Khan isn't one of my favourite Bond villains, but he was terrific, no doubt about it. 90. That's amazing. :D Happy birthday Louis. {[]

    My favourite Bond villain!

Good to see he is still with us along with Joseph Wiseman who is a few years older than him I think.

Happy Birthday Louis you legend! -{ B-)

    Happy birthday Louis.
    I love his line;
"Mr. Bond is indeed a rare breed, soon to be made extinct" and "you have a nasty habit of surviving Mr. Bond"
    Great delivery on both

Not forgetting his role in Gigi of course.

It comes to my attention that Kamal Khan is actually two years younger than we thought he was. There is a discussion regarding as such on his Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Louis_Jourdan. So when I created this topic he had just turned 88, and won't turn 90 until next year.

Yes, but wikipidia is usually more wrong than right. Soon we'll have a completely lower level of intelligence because of wikipidia research... :))

It's really IMDb where such information comes from... in any case I don't often see Wikipedia wrong (I checked the page history to see if it had been vandalized)

My goodness! It's as if he hasn't aged a bit (bar the change of colour in hair that is!). I'm glad for him and wish him a Happy, albeit Belated, Birthday.

He's the only one alive from 3 coins in a fountain. I have always had a crush on Louis. He is still handsome, must have good genes.
