Hey guys how do you think Jude Law would do for Bond, of course after Craig. He has already showed he is good with ladies in Alfie and he is British:

Personally, I'll pass on Jude Law; I've never been much of a fan. And if Eon thought Hugh Jackman was too fey...!

I don't want Jude Law as Bond, however I very much want one of his former co-stars as Bond. I'm referring of course to Clive Owen; what a wonderful Bond he could have been. :#

If EON thought Hugh Jackman was too fey than what did they think of Sam Worthington? Was he too ugly or too short?

Jude Law i seriously lacking in masculinity. He would be completely wrong, epsecially after Craig.

I'll leave that second question to the Legion of Craig HatersTM :D

They could do worse than Sam Worthington. I thought his performance in T4 was excellent.

Better get Connery's wig out of cold storage then. By the time Craig leaves Bond, Law is going to need it.

Agreed. He does not look like he could stand up in a strong wind to me.

Jason Isaacs was my choice for Bond before D Craig but I think he might be a little too Old now But he'd make a great villan who would look like he could kick Bonds arse giving fans a great fight sequence.

I tried, really I did, but I could not resist the bait...:) Without wishing to open old wounds, particularly as we are playing so nicely these days but... There seems to be a discussion on the internet disputing if he is any more than 5 feet eight!! Surely there must be some minimum height requirement. Not for being a leading man (plenty examples of them) but for being Bond, or is nothing sacred anymore ?

Just to be clear I hope DC stays around for at least one more, despite my misgivings, and because he is a superb and committed actor and a fine Bond I won't be joining 'Craighaters anytime soom

?:) Wasn't aware of any 'bait' being thrown out...to what are your referring?

Confused again. Are you talking about Worthington? If so, I certainly wasn't putting forward a formal endorsement. I thought he was good in T4, that's all. And if he's a Hobbit, at least he didn't play the Infiltrator Unit like one...there are always less desirable choices out there---Jude Law, for instance, to stay on topic here. I don't care if Jude Law is 6'4", IMO a Hobbit Bond would be preferable.

There's no bigger fan of Craig on these boards than me...but I'll gladly concede that Craig's on the low end, heightwise, of what a Bond actor should be. Here again, however, I don't think he plays the part like a short man---only a card-carrying LCH member looks at him in either CR or QoS and says, "He's obviously too short."

IMDb's mini-biography on Sam Worthington says that he's six foot two inches, that's Timothy Dalton's height. Of course that information could be fraudulent but I think it's probably accurate.

Isn't that interesting...from 5'8" to 6'2"---a full six inch differential---depending upon 'internet sources.' If they begin to claim that Worthington is obsessed with ladies' toiletries, or terrified of water, he may be a candidate :))

No biggie about 'bait' just a jokey reference to some of our previous exchanges. I think we are broadly in agreement. The only actor worse than Law for Bond would be Leonardo Di Caprio. Perhaps it should be a new thread, worst possible choice etc
