I haven't been active on this site for quite some time as I had a rather serious cycling accident earlier this summer so I've been recuperating at "Shrublands" (haha). Anyway...I must say that I am very impressed with the creative energy that went into making these entries. The judges surely have a hard time on their hands in choosing a winner.
I'm already looking forward to next year's contest. Well done to all who entered!
Congratulations to all of you who submitted a photo. I am gob-smacked by all the creativity on this board and dedication to the Bond Lifestyle. It was also great fun to see how influential this board has been on so many of us!
But alas, with any contest, there are those that stood out to our panel of judges and without further ado here they are:
Fourth Place Winner-

Second Place Winner-

First Place Winner-

I will post some direct comments from the judges on the winners later this weekend. Below are honorable mentions that were picked by the judges but did not make it into the top four....

Let’s all do this again real soon and in the meantime keep those cameras handy….you never know when you might be catapulted into a Bond moment.

This contest was great! It was cool seeing all the 007 pictures.
Wow, thanks a lot for picking my picture Judges.
It was a lot of fun taking it...and a lot more fun afterwards.
Congratulations to everyone who entered this contest - there were some really great photos!! You guys really challenged me to think of some very creative shots, considering I have a limited Bond wardrobe. Congrats to the other 3 winners here, as well! You guys took some fantastic Bond pics - my hat's off to you. I also want to thank Mantis and the those "behind the scenes" for putting this contest together and offering up some fantastic prizes!! I look forward to seeing more Bond-inspired pics posted here in the future.
Congratulations to the winners and well done to everyone who entered. There were some terrific pictures submitted and I'm sure the judges had a hard time deciding the winners.
This has been a brilliant thread and thanks to The Mantis and judges for putting the competition togeather. Lets do it again real soon.
So I wasted all that money flying to Italy, renting the villa, and buying a DB5. Thank you very much! X-( Well, this was just a lot of fun and I really enjoyed checking the site everyday and seeing all of the imaginative photos. Congrats to the winners and to all! While my first thought was to plan for the untimely demise of Mantis and the other judges, I have decided to turn my energies to an unbeatable concept for (hopefully) the next contest! Cheers! -{

In the words of ASP9mm,
WOT HE SAID....
seriously, I thought the judges made a great choice, although I really felt for James....
all I can say is, as my wife always tells me, coming third is better than not coming at all....
My Dear Friends,
Thank you so very much for the honour of being the winner of the inaugural James Bond Lifestyle contest!
I am so impressed with the creative and passionate entries of my fellow 007 bretheren, that I must say that everyone was a winner, as we all got to enjoy those brief moments during which we all were living the Bond lifestyle.
It was nice to see that all of the different eras were represented, and the ingenuity, and creativity of our collecting society were displayed with such artistic ability.
It is with this spirit that I would like to be the first to challenge all of our fellow Bond collectors to next year's contest, and, I will be donating my lovely prizes to next year's prize fund!
I would like to thank the judges, and my esteemed colleagues in Bond collecting for a fun, and marvellous display of creativity.
What a great thread. I hope people keep this going. I picked up this jacket from Banana Republic online, it looks the most similar to the one on QoS of all I saw. I superimposed myself in the desert.
erm - is that mads mikkelsen with you in the last picture? that rules!!
Do you think it is Mads ??? – Yes it is, before CR premier in Copenhagen… at the party we also meet this guy… can you place him in the Bond universe ??? And Jesper that we meet duing a TV show before the QOS premiere in DK
The fun thing about Mads was that he didn’t wanted to sit beside Blofeld as he stated that he was the best villain in the Bond universe…
