plaque location

ok, first off, look here;

i got this morning, and was wondering where this was filmed.

i'm thinking the plaque was filmed on the side of the statue at the top of great george street, near parliment square.

am i right?

Looks like it was filmed under the bridge on the right hand side opposite bank. Same place the took the still of Lazenby leaning on the lampost.

..Ok maybe not, must remember it's a mirror image. It was shot somwhere around the area where Winstons statue is.

It has changed so much in the last 40 odd years though.

i think it was shot virtually right behind where the photographer would be standing in the shot above asp9mm.

just over the road from where the photo above was taken is a statue. not sure who of, cos google earth wont let me zoom into the name plaque, but im guessing the UE plaque was stuck on the base of that statue.

Yeah, your probably right about that. Judging from the people and buildings reflected in the plaque, it was definately on the edge of the pavement. They probably already had it fixed to a stand/board and just plonked it down, waited for a passing bus and took the shot before the crowds became too interested.
