theres some truth in what asp is saying, however, not all suitable models were black.

it seems saitek's 'development' of these things was merely changing the stick design and moulding the bases in different colour plastics, but they actually left the shape alone for quite a few models, so you don't need to get 'the' model that was used, ie don't be put off by different colours, they'll most likely be exactly the same shape.

they are however getting pretty rare. the original saitek came about in 1985, so even when it was bastardised for GE, it was getting on a bit. you'll normally find them amonst the computer guys who collect obscure and obselete computer systems, and weirdly, there always seems to be a few kicking around on ebay germany.

i was offered a half baked saitek by one of you guys on here for $110, plus shipping to the united states of england, but to be quite frank, that was a complete rip off. being not as stupid as i look, i went to ebay.de and got mine for £8, inc. shipping, quite a difference.
